Judge Nencini’s Guidelines Authorize Televising Of The Florence Appeal Live In Real Time

Posted by True North

[Research room in the Palace of Justice which can double as a room for the press]

The Florence Courts are renowned for acting with speed and decisiveness.

No surprise then that Judge Nencini has issued the court guidelines for this appeal (remember, this is not a second trial).

There will be regulated access to the courtroom and observers must be in court by 9:00 am. No phone contacts or tweets from the court to the outside world will be allowed.

A pressroom will be set up, as in Perugia, where most of the reporters preferred to sit so that they could use their computers and phones, and come and go when they wished.

And three fixed TV cameras will provide a broadcast-quality live feed from the court in Italian. This feed will be balanced against the needs of an orderly fair trial, and the feed could be turned off now and then.

In Perugia in 2009 and 2011 there were CCTV cameras in the court but the quality of the feed to the pressroom was low and when reporters captured some of it on videocam the resultant videos were somewhat murky as you can see on some YouTubes of the trial.

The huge new high-tech palace of justice was designed with TV feeds in mind.

Nice catch True North.

A powerful way to legitimize the outcome. Judge Nencini knows how much twisting of facts has gone on. So to whom if anyone does this provide an edge?

Certainly Judge Nencini comes across as very animated, forceful and decisive in various YouTubes and will presumably do so here. Not unlike Judge Micheli in 2008.

In 2009 Judge Massei ran an orderly court and he often waded in to quieten down the two competing defense teams. That showed and Italians thought the trial fair.

In 2011 Judge Hellmann did a much poorer job and sometimes lost control of his court. That also showed, which is one reason why few Italians considered the 2011 outcome just.

In 2009 the murky CCTV coverage helped the prosecution which put on a precise and logical case with excellent summation.

The defense phase was often halting and weak and Italians were able to see that. Sollecito barely spoke, but Knox often interrupted, and of course she was on the stand for two days.

Her silly way of dressing and frequent grinning before court began definitely did her no good. On the witness stand she came across as callous, arrogant and hard.

At the request of the Kerchers some sessions were closed but during this key prosecution presentation the video feed was on:

http://truejustice.org/ee/index.php?/tjmk/comments/the_summations_the_prosecutions_reconstruction_of_the_events_on_the_ni/

http://truejustice.org/ee/index.php?/tjmk/comments/italians_have_for_a_long_time_known_how_depraved_and_cruel_the_final_s/

The prosecution’s 15 minute video recreation of the cruel 15 minute attack on Meredith was perhaps the most powerful segment of the entire trial.

That was NOT broadcast live and it seems that defense forces know that video simply destroys their pussyfooting and their lone-wolf arguments about the long, cruel attack.

http://truejustice.org/ee/index.php?/tjmk/comments/dr_galati_please_check_out_what_looks_like_a_mischievous_defense/

The complaint about the video was anonymous and it came to nothing. It was possibly filed by the rabid pro-Knox nut David Anderson, who has demons from a UK trial he messed up.

Amanda Knox to appear live on TODAY Friday

Warning: lies are coming and the pictures can make you sick!

I just found these VERY deceiving recent photos of AK:
http://nypost.com/2013/09/15/exclusive-photos-amanda-knox-at-home-in-seattle/#1
She looks like a teenage girl (although she is 26)  who has nothing else to do than bike and study, make fun of everyone. And her family picture is just unbelievable: her family is already broken for years, why the hell do they want to picture them together?

Posted by Hungarian. on 09/19/13 at 09:25 PM | #

OMG, Hungarian - you are soooo right!  I DO feel sick.  One caption said that since the trial she’s “struggled with PTSD” - WTF?!  How about the personality disorders she’s been struggling with BEFORE the trial, after the trial, and apparently forever more?  Oh, the ‘happy little [dysfunctional, splintered] family’ in that walking shot, let alone the rest… truly sickening.  The fairy tale we’re being sold in the media about AK will be officially ending soon - let us hope.

Why does the NY Times, let alone other mainstream newspapers in the US & UK keep sucking up this s***?  How stupid do they think the public is?

“Why does the NY Times, let alone other mainstream newspapers in the US & UK keep sucking up this s***? “

Best guess here - AK translates into sales either through click-through (advertising revenue) or magazine/newspaper purchases. If she didn’t, they wouldn’t bother.

“How stupid do they think the public is?”

Very. In a word. They’re givng people what they want.

Putting on my scathing-hat, I’ve opted to not read anything on the main news, nor click through to images. The only way the press will sit up and take note is if their revenues are affected. The days of the investigative journalist is relegated to sites like this and pmf. What a brave new world of instant “news” that is reported purely because it translates to clicks and profit.

As the appeal approaches, the need for AK to win hearts is intense (to her - she clearly feels there will be riots on the streets is her conviction stands - or at least pressure will be applied in high office to prevent her being sent to Italy). Stand down now, let’s let Justice gallop through and let the real events be replayed, the version where AK’s DNA is on the knife and Meredith’s is on the blade, and how it is clear that the scene across the cottage was staged - and let people start asking themselves who had a vested interest in this scene setting.

Do you know, I hope that AK wins her campaign to not go to jail in Italy and instead is offered a place in a US jail to serve out her time. Why? The US system is far harsher than anything to be found in western Europe.

RIP Meredith.

TruthWillOut

You are right about the commercial motive in the ‘newspapers’.
Here in UK, ‘the Times’ used to be a standard for quality and objectivity. Now, online, all sorts of articles more reminiscent of ‘Hello’ are being published, prominently. Also, their leaders now take a position and push this, instead of placing the objective balance.
Their readers complain, frequently, through the comments. But, there they are, these ‘articles’ - at the top of the ‘most read’ lists. So that rules.

‘The need for AK to win hearts is intense’. This is also so true.
I do wonder, which she dreads more…. Having her freedom curtailed and spending her reproductive years in jail….. Or having the myth of the wonderful victim Amanda de-railed ?
I believe it is the latter. I think it is this she finds Unbearable.

Note her comment on Raphaele : he is a hero because ‘he did the right thing’ = to believe in her projected myth, and support this. The right thing to normal people would be to tell the truth.

The news media are just milking a cow.
A two dimensional cow.
There’s no story in the cow.
Just some stories about it.

“...freedom curtailed and spending her reproductive years in jail….. Or having the myth of the wonderful victim Amanda de-railed ? I believe it is the latter. I think it is this she finds Unbearable.”

Couldn’t have expressed that better. Agreed!

And the milking-the-cow reference from Helder - that’s exactly what is happening, driven by need for clicks/sales. Newspapers are no longer interested in the story, their objectivity has been lost with mass internet frenzy behaviour.

There are periodic exceptions - MPs expenses scandal here in the UK, for example. But I can see the media take, right now, let AK and RS bleat as they wish, and then report the trial - a misguided reader, a bit of outrage - all equates to clicks and clicks means profit.

It’s very telling that Amanda Knox’s supporters make so many racist and xenophobic about Italy:

After my own computer problems, now back online just in time to see Yahoo Headline News video of Knox with Matt Lauer on the TODAY show.

She says she is going to follow her trial from the U.S. by having her lawyers call her by phone during courtroom breaks. Matt Lauer asked her if she would be telling her lawyers what to do, or giving them any input. She didn’t give much of an answer.

She claims she has financial problems, school to attend, and fears being a distraction in the courtroom as some of the reasons she won’t attend her re-appeal. Mainly she is afraid of being found guilty and jailed again, she implies, mentioning several times that she was jailed there once, “as an innocent person”.

Wow, I must say she has definitely improved her appearance and looks quite lovely in this interview. However, the same scruffling around of words and mixed body language, we’ve seen it all before.

Her not wanting to loud and clearly voice, “I did not kill Meredith, no way, no how” which I would expect often from an innocent person, doesn’t give off honest vibes.

Last night on CNN I watched the short clip of Knox doing the “Poor Little Me” routine in which she stated that she didn’t want to go back to face the Italin court since she had spent four years in jail already, and she didn’t want to go back to face jail time again. That statement is of course the entire enchilarda of her modus operandi. Of course she doesn’t want to go back since she knows full well she will be found guilty.

The other person interviewed (some legal professor or other) also stated that if the American people could mount enough pressure upon the US government and thereby the President then there was a good chance she would’nt be extradited. The counter argument was the agreement started by Ronald Reagan with Italy proclaiming extraditiion rights between both countries. The person being interviewed also stated that in his view Knox was detached and cold and hiding.

So much can happen at the trial though. Sollecito will have to testify and thereby I suspect in order to save his own hide he will spill the beans and blame Knox. after all he has no other recourse. Then there’s Guede waiting in the wings. Point is though. There is no statute of limitations upon murder. Finally there is the disgusting filth I see on the Seattle based rag Ground Report blaming Mereding Kercher for her own murder. Obviously the people at Ground Report are just the same as the dog dirt I scrape from the soles of my shoes. Am I angry? Of course, how could anyone be otherwise at the lies and the smear tactics they use? When in doubt blame the victim a-la Travis Alexander in the Jody Arias trial. So much for American jurisprudence.

Video coverage…wow…that is monumental.

For me, it’s not about revenge…but for Meredith…Justice. Her voice is heard…she is an assertive spirit.

Y’all are awesome…much thanks for the dedicated, non stop campaign, that we all spent so many years developing.
One by one you (all of you) exposed the lies and rotten putrid nature of Bruce & co. and gave the Americans the facts, so they could see the decay of camp Amanda, too.

Posted by Bettina on 09/21/13 at 05:52 PM | #

@Grahame Rhodes:

Isn’t Sollecito hiding away somewhere in the Carribean waiting to see which way the wind blows?

Despite telling Stephen Sackur that he would not be in some third country but in Italy when push comes to shove, I do wonder whether he will go back.

Where exactly he is in the Caribbean is the question. I suppose he can be deported back home from there?

Allow me to speculate aghast as I am about Knox’s letters to her unborn child. The one to “Astrid” is a complete dream sequence of the crime. Amanda mentions a child named Joseph ( could be Joseph the dreamer, Prince of Egypt who was imprisoned or Joseph the protector of Mary who carried the holy child). The child in this letter is Amanda and is also Meredith: the dark child who can’t speak. Please bear with me as I treat this letter as a dream, full of veiled messages.

Amanda begins the letter saying she wants tea not coffee. Coffee is American, tea is British. She wanted to trade nationalities, jealous of Meredith’s accent. Then she moves from image of tea to a nursery. That’s a place where children sleep, in other words a bedroom. She tells her inner child or unborn baby that she is in this bedroom from 8:30 to 11:30, roughly the hours of the crime. Doing what? Cleaning! she’s a cleaner (slang word for assasin). Invert the time as a dream hides the truth and she was cleaning with soap and water from 11:30pm to 8:30am next morning. Not 3 hours but 9 hours.

Right after mention of the nursery she speaks of someone dark, a small person who is dark. To me that’s Meredith who had to “speak with her hands” after they pressed their hands or pillow or gag over her mouth. She had to wave her hands, as in “Helloo, what the heck are you doing to me?” The moving hands are Meredith in struggle. They had to get control of her hands.

Then she writes about “thumb up for Yes or No”. That’s the sign a Roman emperor made to kill or let a prisoner go. Then she says, “twist of the wrist”. Guede grabbed Meredith’s wrist. Then Knox quotes the dark child saying “Please open the door”, as Meredith probably kicked at the door when they first locked her in her room.

“At the call for aria” must surely refer to the scream. The call for aria literally meant the prison call for inmates to go outdoors. An aria is also a solo in an opera. Might be a cry for fresh air, Meredith was smothered.

“Then I went on my walk to stretch these dumpy limbs”. Did she walk to a dumpster to dump clothes and rags from the crime scene. Next, “summer has passed”. The victim has passed away and the summer of Knox’s life has passed, the full growth of her life is over, next is fall. She then sees a new “crop” of convicts entering her prison. She calls them “short-timers” which she was in Capanne. She mentions with some distaste their clothes, she notices jeans and jackets, which Meredith was wearing when attacked.

Then her letter says it’s time to write…(she wrote a lot in prison). She must write a request form to get her sweats, sweaters, fingerless gloves out of “magazzino” (storage). This might allude to writing for magazines or media, getting her stuff published. She wrote a story that mentioned fingerless gloves. A magazine is also a place to hold bullets or weapons. “Sweats” means exercise, hard work. “Sweaters” means it was cold, or there were plural people sweating to do the cleanup.

Now it’s “the autumn of my life”. She has scars and hives meaning she was injured and nervous. She has thinning hair, a rotting tooth both of which allude to failing strength. In the Mowgli stories a “tooth” is a knife. She mentions hunger strikes. We know she lost weight and went hungry due to stomach problems and nerves in early years of incarceration. She talks next in letter about
a few assaults suffered (but by whom? she assaulted Meredith). Then, “I’m sorry—better not to be bitter,” but she is bitter as she signs off the letter to unborn baby girl. She opens the letter with the word “Today” in a nod to Matt Lauer TODAY show, but closes it with “bitter”.

I have written an even longer analysis of her letter to her unborn baby son. It’s rich. To the inner male part of herself she urges larger issues of psychic survival under pressure. She seems to love him more than the female, whose letter on the surface contains trivialities and details of the crime, as if she blames the impulsive female side of herself for her doom. At age 26 she writes these letters while her biological clock is ticking. She chooses to reveal her concern for her unborn babies to the TODAY show, so it is a loud plea for sympathy and a lighter sentence.

She writes to a child unborn about a Nigerian child who is learning to speak but uses only hand sign language, like this letter is. The letter is a code. It’s like those Russian matryushka dolls that nest inside each other, her juvenile mentality, her inner child, her unborn inner children.

With all due respect, I prefer to reflect upon the nature of the unborn children of Meredith - who now can absolutely never be, neither in symbolic nor real form.

Great analysis Hopeful. Unfortunatly you are preaching to the choir. If the Knox supporters read this they will (1) Never understand it and (2) Dismiss it since they have an education quotent on the same level as their shoe size.
