Italy Saw 43 Million Tourists Last Year And Every Year Increasing As A Popular Destination

Posted by Peter Quennell

Proportionate to its population, Italy is in the top two or three countries in the world both for most-visited and most-want-to-buy-property there.

There are good articles here and here about Perugia and the rest of Umbria. The image above is of the amazing Amalfi, a couple of hours to the south.

Seems like the wheels have really come off the boycott-Italy and the be-really-scared-of-visiting-there campaigns.  As with the rest of the forever-slipping and increasingly ineffective Knox PR campaign, nobody anymore is paying attention.

Buona visita!

Hi Peter,

Great photo of Amalfi.

For other stunning views of Italy taken from space check out Italian astronaut, Paolo Nespoli’s Flikr slide show done in beautiful collaboration with United States NASA astronaut, Cady Coleman.

After viewing these awesome photos one can sense that this must be Meredith Kercher’s view from heaven!

I visited Italy last year from the US and I can personally recommend it. My wife and I were celebrating my retirement and I am already looking for a package to return there. We had an excellent memorable time.

Even Judge Heavey’s latest unjudicial missive is a recap of FOA talking points. Though I don’t think the PR agency wrote it, I think his daughter did:)
I’m beginning to call it the Curse of Amanda: the number of people who fall victim and A)are convicted of murder B) lose their jobs and C) their reputations increases every DAY 😊

@ Will Savive, Judge Heavey was charged with judicial misconduct on Tuesday June 8, 2010, not 2011.

I know Italy must be beautiful. And at least I have paid for my crimes, this page has taught me a lot. Like the section on Anne Perry which showed that you can only come to a true atonement if you acknowledge your wrongs. Hope Amanda will finally learn as well.
