Candace Dempsey’s Grief-For-Profit Industry Is Not So Busy, Today, Perhaps…

Hard to believe the sordid money-grubbing “friends” industry is not now bothering even the defendants’ families. Hard to believe the wannabe author is today on the same terms with the Knoxes and the Mellases as two days ago.

Hard to believe the Kercher family will allow her within many miles of themselves now, if they can possibly help it. Hard to believe she will still have a free hand to roam around Perugia, and to “objectively” report on the trial.

Hard to believe any putative insider contacts will not go quiet now, and keep her at very extreme arms’ length. Hard to believe the fiasco of the book-deal is not seriously bothering Penguin, and chilling some other book deals.

Yes. Perhaps we have won one here. For Meredith. And for the Kerchers.

We had around 1,000 visitors come to the site yesterday.

The Powerpoints of Kermit and Nicki have been viewed by more than 2,000.

And we are really not even up to full speed…

So many of the Meredith supporters now are saying they want a real writer on the case.

One with GENUINE sympathy for Meredith and the family and not this weird insincere mush that suddenly surprised everyone by appearing on the Hearst blog site.

My own continuing hope is that one of those interested might be Skeptical Bystander, one moderator of the PMF forum. Skep is multilingual, very well traveled in Europe, extremely smart and fair, a beautiful writer, and really driven by a genuine deep caring for Meredith and the family.

We’re still keeping our eye on Penguin, of course.  They probably just want the book to quietly dematerialize, asap. There is some amusement in other NY publishing houses, and in at least one newspaper newsroom.

Silly ol’ Penguin.

British owned, of course. The Pearson Group.

I am feeling some sympathy for you, Knoxes and Mellases, in this one. I am sure you thought she really cared for your kid, and was doing her some good pouring all that gasoline on the flames. And she was really building a funeral pyre, for her own profit and your loss.

the belief that the sexy one is involved in this is solidifying in me like resin gone hard and i cannot budge it.

i hope he gets brought in for questioning if he has not been already.

something stinks pretty bad and Mignini is on to him.

if he is held he can then be as credible as his idol spezi….wow wouldnt that be great for him, like being blooded on his first kill with the hounds….oh wait he probably already has been blooded at a kill.

i will say no more.

We should hope that reporters get onto Rob’s extraordinary point. Investigation of that could result in some real shocks.

The nickname Rob is using should be easy to figure out. Everybody who has followed the case with concern for Meredith knows to whom he refers.

It’s someone who has made some wild twists and turns and suddenly became surprisingly pro one of the defendants.

The sexy one, aka Frank of Perugia Shock, is certainly involved in the busy effort to shape this pending matter.

My latest theory is that Frank plans to ask for political asylum in the US, on the grounds that he is no longer safe on the streets of Perugia, Florence, Rome, or wherever he lives in Italy. Why? Because the Evil Mignini has ordered his Masonic brethren to bring him the head of Frank Massimo Sfarzo.

And as for the grief-for-profit industry, obviously it never sleeps.

Does Frank Sfrarzo have a book in the works too? Hmmm. Only a matter of time before facts like this pop out and bite people in the tail. Stay tuned. And watch Frank’s tail.

I don’t know if Frank has a book or a film or some other vehicle in the works. Perhaps he’s just collaborating on the Dempsey book. In any case, he has just taken the step of copyrighting his blog. Maybe, having heard about Dempsey’s book and noting her penchant for reposting his blog entries, he’s planning to make her pay when she uses them for the book version of her story.

Anything is possible in this industry.

By the way, Dempsey apparently only believes in peer reviews, and says that the F grade you have given her a badge of honor since you are a non-journalist. So there!

Which media organisation does Candace Dempsey work for? I thought she just had a reader’s blog for the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. She’s become notorious for deleting the posts of people who disagree with her while allowing posts that insult Meredith’s family to stand.

Personally, I thought Fast Pete was very generous giving Candace’s blog a grade F.

Frank Sfarzo has copyrighted his blog? That strongly suggests a defensive action on his part.

It sounds like he actually knew nothing of her book, and now that he does, he wants no possible link with that impending toxic soup.

[Update: yeah, word seems to be that he is creating some distance. Smart guy. She’s really radioactive.  And he’s been okay at times.]

And with regard to the A to F ratings: we have plenty of journalists willing to assist. Informally, some them rate her fast-fading site much lower than an F. They see NOTHING to be proud of on that site.

However, our ratings are deliberately not handled out by journalists. A large part of the point of this site is that a few of them had lost sight of the victim, and gone really overboard for one of the defendants.

We are already seeing the signs that the site is chilling such misplaced enthusiasms. Meredith’s tale is a really compelling one, and they are increasingly keen to turn to that and tell it.

Yes (see above) you are in good company there Machine.

You mean F doesn’t stand for fabulous?

Seriously though, an F is more than fair.  The person in question makes glaring mistakes and grammatical errors, not to mention that she consistently manages to misspell the name of one of her most prolific posters.

Hey Candace.  If you read this, or one of your little friends does, do the Kercher family a big favor.  Keep Meredith’s name out of it.  Just call it the Amanda Knox story.  You know, transparency lends credibility, babe.  Oh dear.
