Pete, You have done it again.

Thanks for keeping the public informed of the maneuverings going on behind the scenes. Now it becomes easier to understand why certain players want to shape this story in certain ways—they have deadlines to meet!

I wonder if this author, who runs the local Seattle AK defense blog, will write herself into the story behind this tragic murder, since she has become one of its players.

I’m still waiting for the announcement that a neutral observer with consummate writing skills has decided to cover this story from the outside, without interference. But I suppose that won’t happen for a long time, until well after the dust has settled. In the meantime, we will see treatments of the story such as this one.

I wonder, will Candace make enough off this to buy back her soul?  Will part of the proceeds go to Friends of Amanda?  Maybe this is why she never produces all those lines in the diary that she insists mention Meredith.  She wants to save it for her story.

Actually Leslie Gaub has no track record in this direction. I dont know her, but people who do tell me she is one of the finest in the publishing game here.

I think here Leslie just jumped sight unseen, or too early, and she did not realize the sordid money-grubbing industry that seems to be growing up around this case.

I doubt that Leslie would want to inflict pain on the Kercher family.

But the existence of THIS book will.

The blogger was NOTORIOUS for never mentioning the name of the victim, Meredith Kercher, in the early days of her blog.

Dozens of readers called her on it. Their comments are sure to be still there on site. Right?

Amazing research here!  This is absolutely disgusting.  Remember those photos of the Kerchers with Candace Dempsey lurking in the background?  Maybe she was waiting around to tell them about her book deal.  She is shameless.

I think I’ll write and publish a love story loosely based on Candace and Frank.  It will be titled, “Meredith Was Stabbed In The Neck But Frank Pierced My Greedy Heart: A Diary of Journalism Ethics Run Amok”.

Oh no, Tara!  Her following the Kerchers so closely (managing to be in how many shots?) makes more and more sense.  Or would that be “cents”?  Surely she’ll include lots of photos in this book of hers.  Let’s hope someone bought her a thesaurus; any bets on how many times the phrase “crazy-making” and “wildly popular” will be used?  How heart-warming that the murder of Meredith Kercher will be so profitable for the writer of a food and travel blog.

Yes. Vividly. Photos taken in Perugia. She seemed to be in several press shots, staring at the Kercher family from behind their backs.

We don’t know if it WAS her. But the phrase “stalker” seemed to come up again and again.

Fast Pete?  Can we get a recap of the Stalker Candace Dempsey following around the Kercher Family?  But set to music?  I’d really like to relive those special moments again.

Those pictures of Candace Dempsey lurking behing the Kerchers (3 in total that I’ve seen), were taken on Monday, September 15 at the hotel before the hearing on the 16th. 

Corrina, I didn’t even think of her using these photos in her book!  Because she’s in the picture, does she have the rights?  Just shocking.

Corrina, I didn’t even think of her using these photos in her book!  Because she’s in the picture, does she have the rights?  Just shocking.

I think Corinna meant the photos taken by Dempsey—she wouldn’t be in those ones.

The very knowledgeable commenters above all have an enormous sympathy for the victim and the Kercher family.

Any agent or publisher looking for a writer for a pro-Meredith book that could top the lists really should start by checking out that forum.

Skep, yep (ha!) that’s what I meant.  I don’t know if she actually took any photos of the Kerchers but Tara’s comment reminded me of her standing there behind them in those photos.  Perhaps it wasn’t just wanting to see herself in the newspaper that was her motivation.  Maybe she saw an opportunity for *never-before-seen* photos of the Kercher family.  Appearing in a book, with her name on it.

Huge behind-the-scenes sympathy for the Kerchers over this low blow.

I’m being asked for direct email addresses for Andrew Stuart of the Stuart Agency and Leslie Gelbman of Berkley Books.

I do have them. Reporters are flitting around and keen to help. But would it be okay if I don’t share them on the front page, just for now?

I think Leslie of Berkley Books especially needs time to read our site and to understand the problem facing her.

Berkley Books is owned by Penguin (375 Hudson Street NYC) which in turn is owned by Pearson (80 The Strand, London).

The Kerchers are well-known to Londoners and sympathy for them there is huge.

So 80 The Strand might be an address to which to address complaints that would help the Kerchers.

Vasquez seems to have seriously fallen down on her author’s due diligence. The New York publishing world is getting quite intrigued.

It is better not to make a fuss because nobody will be interested in reading what Dempsey has to say, certainly not after Knox and Solleito have been shown to be killers.

I think Frank Shock was simply made a nice money offer and that is why he has been deceitful and that is why he appeared to do strange things, pretending to be in the public domain for the justice for Meredith but in fact being a pawn in the Dempsey game. That was what was strange about him, his playing with people while he sees himself as elevated above everyone, this is why he gets on with Dempsey, they have similar characters.

I knew, always knew, that Dempsey had secret motives.

I always knew she was writing a book, and cashing in on a poor young girl’s death.

This explains why she has been so dense and also why she has acted as if she is a brainless twit, by refusing to accept any other opinion than her own.

This being because she had her themes set out for her book, and it was not others but she herself who was set on a single idea from day one.

Dempsey has had nothing but preconconceived ideas, and all the time she accused others of being like that, in all of that she has been unbendable, simply because it has to do with her earning money.

What a horrid, awful, integrity lacking individual she truly is. Not to mention being as smug, heartless, inconsiderate and cruel.

Some of the commenters above posted well-meant, well-informed comments on the Seattle blog - only to find themselves deleted without reason. The deck there was really stacked…

Reference is to Frank, the Italian blogger on Perugia Shock. He went from being reliably pro-victim, to what has at some points looked obsessively pro-defendant.

Frank and the Sattle blogger apparently spent much time together in Perugia during the recent hearings where the stalking took place.

Dies Frank have his own book in the works too? Well, he does need to be worried. We are rather good at finding out.

In actual fact, what is a sad as well as evil thing, is that the Knox family, have also been conned. Whatever Knox did, still, she and her family have been conned by Dempsey, used by Dempsey, for it has been Dempsey to start with who set the over-exaggerated tales into the world, each time over-exaggerating things, speculating and sensationalizing things and then accusing others of doing that.

In order to achieve her goals she got Doug Preston in on it, and, I still think Preston is Wilkes.

Still, whether this last point is correct or not, those two are very similar. Both say ridiculous things whilst going under the veil of politeness. Like wolves in sheep’s clothing.

After that, she is the person who got those others involved too, the judge and Bremner.

Not the family Knox, they didn’t do that!

So, whatever is going to happen to Knox and no matter how the family Knox will deal with it, Dempsey has not been genuine, and has not been doing what she does out of sympathy for the Knoxes, for them; it could have been a hundred others that became her book, if has all been a matter of only having a subject to write about apart from cupcakes.

In fact, the Knoxes have not been done any favours at all by having this disrespectful and selfish person getting on their case and meddling in something she is not genuine or honest about let alone sincere.

She does not care.

It is just material for a book.

She has used not just the Knoxes and Meredith’s death but has used all those who write on her blog too, used all those people who tried to write on her blog in the past, and this was always the reason she copyrighted her blog, a thing bloggers do not do, but when confronted on that point she just ignored it, because those that asked were getting too close, she is a sneaky woman.

She laid her deal down ages ago, she named her price, told they the publishers what she’d deliver, after that she has been trying to dictate events in the real world via her blog and more, so that her fiction becomes reality.

And she has the nerve to try to get close to Meredith’s family.

It defies belief.

All in all, it is a witch.

And, that is why she has not allowed anything in, only things that agree with her nonsensical rants that are based on fallacy and fiction as well as illogics.

She is dishonest; and so is Frank Shock.

He is just paid by her it would seem, that much is clear, I can only understand it that way.

Unless he is thoroughly under the influence of any people from America and if he has no own mind.

Dempsey has all the time been out with an own strategy that has absolutely nothing to do with truly having sympathy for Knox.

Dempsey, in all truth, has sympathy for her own bank account, hyping it all up in order to create a story that was never there. What I am saying is, after all she did, now it is clear, she has used the Knoxes, just as much as she has used the Meredith murder case to line her own pockets.

She ought to know that equally a book will be brought out showing how she has behaved in the wake of a brutal murder.

Well, that is highly imaginable, still, for the time being, I think getting an income from being an Dempsey assistant is a nice little earner for him, at least I would not be surprised one bit now if this is the type of relationship Mr Franky boy enjoys with Dempsey.

When you are talking about American markets you are talking about the ability to market to a far wider audience than everywhere else except Russia and China.

English language books can and do sell the most copies worldwide but to get a book selling well in America can mean you may never need to work again in your life.

An English person can sell records to people in Britain but if the American market is conquered, the difference in income is astounding and incomparable.

In the Italian language, Frank may decide to write a little book, but I doubt anyone is going to be sympathetic to it, especially if what I think is about to happen does happen and the two awaiting trial are tried and convicted of Meredith’s murder.

It may well be though, that Dempsey in order to win Mr Frank’s loyalty has promised him anything he wants, just about, she may have told him that if he too wishes to write a book she will help him have it translated, no wonder he kisses her feet then.

Most well-thinking Italians are not impressed by people like Dempsey or otherwise have never heard of her.

They are not impressed because they are seeing an entirely different picture presented a home in Italy to the one that Dempsey has been painting.
Nobody had to make them dislike Amanda Knox, it comes bnaturally ti Italians to, in general be warm and loiving and thewy are in no way stupid, they all just found Knox’s behaviour peculiar and cold and unconvincing.

Dempsey says every single person involved in the Italian justice system is corrupt, she says it in one way or the other through her continual discrediting of anyone who goes against the two remaining defendants, the Italian Raffaele Sollecito and his ex-girlfriend the American woman from Seattle, Amanda Maria Knox, the person who lived in the room next to Meredith in the house in Perugia, Italy, where Meredith was murdered.

The Italian public may be aware of the disrespect their country has been having from certain people from America, people related to Seattle in one way or the other and people such as Dempsey, intent on hyping things up about there being corruption.

That’s why I do not think Francesco, the guy who runs the blog called ‘Perugia Shock’, will produce any bestsellers at home in Italy, certainly not if people in Italy know about his involvement with Dempsey.
Nobody will read it.

I also do not believe that a lot of people are going to be interested in Dempsey’s book.

To start with, just look how unpopular she already managed to make herself on her blog, how could anyone manage reading an entire bookful of it?

It’s hard to read what she writes, that is why I stopped ages ago, because she is extremely smug and irritating and people aren’t that stupid that they enjoy being dictated to, that is her main line, dictating as though she were some kind of head teacher.

To be bossy and to copyright a blog is totally against what the informal concept of a blog ought to be, and against what it is supposed to be.

For one reason, she is not going to get away with using the murder of a young woman to line her own pockets, not without information and publicity being brought out about her and her motives for what she has been up to in all of this.
All as I know is it does not smell good.

Dempsey started with all of that hyping-it-up, almost immediately after Meredith’s murder.

Dempsey then continually accused certain media circles of writing lots of bad stuff about the Seattle woman Knox.

In all honesty, there never was a terrible lot written about Knox, just a report here and there as events unfolded, nothing out of the ordinary.

You’ve raised in an evocative way the anti-Italy mantra that seems to permeate her output, and that of the “friends” of Amanda in general. That really has gone over badly in Italy, no doubt about that.

And you are probably right: the Knoxes and Mellases may be appalled to find they had welcomed a money-grubbing mercenary into their family circle.

I sure hope this results in (1) end of the book (2) end of the blog (3) end of the “friends” of Amanda and (4) a whole new attitude to providing a decent defense for Amanda Knox.

How can anyone profit from this and say they are truly sorry for the Kerchers?

remember the sexy one blog opened the night of Meredith’s murder BEFORE the crime was discovered.  a shock in perugia sure, but who orchestrated it and has made a song and dance about it while taunting the evil one Mignini?  the evil one even commented on this ‘strange’ blog that started the day of the murder at the recent pre-trial.

the sexy one loves attention, has to have it, has to be the centre of it…..sound familiar?  it should.
