Peter, these are some gorgeous pictures. Makes me want to visit Italy that much more.

Fantastic pictures. I’d love to have seen the dancing on stilts - so elegant and what a backdrop!!!!
Thank you for sharing.
Here the video (.. 20 min):

H ncountryside.
Good video. On YouTube there are already dozens as if every town would like to have one. There are several from Perugia although mainly speeches and theres no parade or party up so far. You had a nice time?
Trieste? Very nice. That is on the very edge of Italy to the north-east. Next to it are the very pretty Slovenia and Croatia. I ran a UN meeting in Trieste, ncountryside, a hotel with the Med Sea just below. You know it?
Lovely, all, but ADORE the airplanes. I went to the Royal Air Tattoo a few years ago and couldn’t help but notice that the Italian aerobatics team show made the others look second rate! Breathtaking.
Long Live Italy.

Pomp and ceremony, love the airshow. Way to go, Italy!
Peter quennell. Is your hotel among these?

Brilliant! How funny. Yes the first hotel was the one we were in. Trieste is quiet but friendly and elegant.
This UN meeting was sponsored by the Italian government. Sixty experts and officials from about 25 countries, working out huge science and technology network projects.
You can see me chairing it here in the mid 90s. Ah Italia…ah Trieste.
