Meredith’s Perugia #36: Versions Of The 24-Hour Happy-Song By Students Happy To Be There
Posted by The TJMK Main Posters
Some 31,000 students are enrolled at the University of Perugia. It is one of the world’s dozen oldest universities, founded in 1308.
I find it sad watching this in a way Peter.
This beautiful place and fun town for students which has been sullied in such a way by these awful murderers.
Good will always triumph over evil and the sheer goodness of Meredith will shine through the awful darkness Knox and Sollecito has cast over Perugia.
Knox has the thick skin of a rhinoceros, a thick skin she needs everytime she shows her face in public - despite the false image her PR company has to constantly keep topping up.
The need for them to have to keep doing this indicates the sheer scale and depth of the wickedness of Amanda Knox.
There is one reason that the parents of the students of Perugia can sleep easy for however, and that is the fact that Knox is not there amongst their children anymore.
Deathfish, I echo your words. And guilty Knox’s behaviour post the murder has been just that - guilty.
Apart from a few token words she never talks about Meredith. Just like she was described in prison: Ice Queen.
I’ll never fathom her supporters. Maybe it’s a sycophant thing. Or in guilty Knox’s case, sickophant.
@Peter Quennell: Great song, it cheered me up all day. Nice to see them singing and dancing all over Perugia with joy. Very fizzy and fun mood, a nice change from the gray chill damp weather here in last of winter’s grip. You Northeasterners stay cozy, weathermen say snowstorms up that way.
I can imagine university-cities resonating with you and some others here. I like them too. Italy seems to lead in the creation of these happy-cities videos, see more of Perugia (and its dogs) below.
It seems to me theres an exceptional communal vibe there, maybe helped in part by the fact that the universities are concentrated so high up on that massif? The drive up on first arrival seems to take forever.
That height makes Perugia an unusual hybrid of campus-university and city-university. Students really do rule up there. Even getting from Meredith’s house to the top is at a guess a 500 foot climb.
