The Rulings: Meredith’s Family Talks Of Meredith And The Rightness Of The Verdict

If you can look past NBC’s Meredith Viera’s interview with the Knox familiy on this video, which just gave them yet another forum, the commentator Dan Abrams at the end is one of the few American network commentators who I personally have heard speak about this trial being “legitimate” and giving some insight to American viewers about the validity of the Italian system and the fact that this wasn’t some sort of anti-American “railroading frome hell” as CBS had put it:

You have to keep in mind here that Abrams is, in my mind anyway, typically the type of guy that likes to shoot off at the mouth when he sees the opportunity for controversy, so, hearing him say there’s nothing Hillary Clinton is going to do, etc., and talking about Amanda having dug her own hole says to me that the press might be starting to pour over the facts a little more perhaps.

What a super family they are. Those children are such a credit to Mr and Mrs Kercher. Stephanie was so close to Meredith I believe, it brought tears to my eyes when she spoke. I could not believe the magnanimity of Lyle’s comments regarding the perpetrators of this vile murder. They leave me speechless, and proud to be British, as they embody the values and fortitude under pressure that part of me fondly believes to be the national characteristic in times of great difficulty. Certainly they are a credit to the country. I hope they can rise above the vulgar sound and fury coming from the US right now.

Throughout this exceedingly difficult time I have seen Stephanie always lending her arm to her parents and each member of the family showing utmost respect and consideration for the other.
As an American and Seattle resident “my girl” has been and always will be Meredith Kercher.

TT,

I’m so glad you shared what you did about how the Kerchers exemplify British values of maintaining fortitude, dignity and an attitude of fairness under pressure.

I was very fortunate to spend two years in my early twenties in Britain and that’s the first thing I thought of when I read reports of the Kerchers response to the verdict.

And yes, this is an admirable quality of which you can be very proud.
