Many like this which arrived this morning from Dublin in Ireland.

I just want to send all the Kercher Family my very best wishes and support at the end of what must have been a horrendous two years ending with a long and gruelling trial. I have nothing but admiration for you as a family who are dealing with such heartbreak and have been so dignified all through and after the court case.

Justice has been done and that is of primary importance in this situation and the Italian Courts have ensured that. I hope you will be able now to start living your lives again as I am sure this was totally impossible over the last 2 years after such a vicious crime against your beautiful sister and daughter. It is bad enough having a crime like this done on home turf but to happen when the person is in another country is even more horrendous.

I want to extend you my very best wishes to you and hopefully it will assist you in living again as I am sure beautiful Meredith will never be forgotten by you but now you can start the grieving process which you as a family were robbed of because of this evil horrific crime. I just want to send you by very best wishes and support at this time as you have no choice but to continue on without you beloved sister and daughter.

Apparently some of the the reporters at this family press conference this morning were also fighting back a few tears.

Unfortunately the American media, and especially local Seattle media, have been calling this a miscarriage of justice. CNN broke the news with 2 FOA calling Italy medieval and proclaiming guilty until proven innocence rules there. Lie after lie was spun with no pushback.

Absolutely embarassing.

What a lovely, lovely family. I am so angry at how this case has been treated in the American media. But I’m happy that the correct verdict/judgment was reached.

As others have stated, this verdict will never bring back Meredith, but we all hope that it gives a moment of peace to the family - to allow closure to one part of the nightmare. I hope the world switches focus now to Meredith - to her smiling face, the joy she brought to all, and not on those convicted - as they do not deserve any attention at all. Best wishes to all of the Kercher family!

It just gets worse. Someone who saw it just told me that CBS led in with the outrageous statement that the Kerchers did not seem to think that Amanda and Raffaele were involved in their daughter’s death - BASED ON THIS NEWS CONFERENCE! I guess it doesn’t pay to be gentle, compassionate and subtle. CBS is too stupid to get it. Or perhaps just dishonest, deeply dishonest. I am stunned.

Peter Van Sant, CBS valet to Knox’s Seattle PR firm principals, is back at it tonight with his cast of misfits propagating his misinformation about the evidence and xenophobic hate of all things Italian.
Tonight in Seattle media Knox’s friends stated their strategy is to force a political showdown. Sounds like what we heard around “shock and awe.”

Everyone should understand that Van Sant is a Washington State native who began his career in the Seattle media market, attended WSU with many of the local media, and that Knox’s PR firm principals are from our local media market. It is a full court press by all of those at the book/movie trough to coerce politicians to nullify the evidence.
One reporter,Linda Byron I believe had the sickening arrogance to snark that Knox’s sentence was medieval in a medieval town.

I’m so ashamed to be from the same town as these cynical caricatures of Lou Dobbs.

The 48 hours “documentary” was a travesty!  Curt Knox said, “Wherever Meredith is I know that she knows that Amanda and Rafaelle are innocent.”  I WANTED TO VOMIT when I heard that.  Is it really too much to ask for a little respect for Meredith!?!

My parents were up to visit for the evening and I spent about an hour telling them about the volumes of evidence I have read and heard on this case against Amanda and Rafaelle as they know very little other than what’s on the US News.  After explaining things to them they agreed that they seemed guilty.  However, after watching the 48 hours special, my dad changed his mind and went on and on about how awful Knox was treated and how unfair the trial was, etc.  I could barely contain my anger at that moment.  This is so frustrating.  I can not believe my usually rational father was even sucked into this deceit…I can only imagine that it unfortunately had a similar affect on the average American who has not read up on this case.

I thought the Dateline special last night was superb compared to this.  It seemed unbiased, presenting arguments from both sides.  48 hours was pro Knox all the time.  No mention of phone records, footprints, stories not lining up, mixed DNA, etc.

And I can not stand to watch Paul Ciolino or whatever his name is talk like an uneducated moron, making up words and using slang language.  Very impressive, Paul.

I did not know about that! I just ended up with ridiculous Geraldo at large, who had invited Jeanine Pirro. Mrs Pirro was in fact very objective and fair, but Geraldo was yelling to cover her voice, objecting everything she said, so she was not really a guest but a “faire-valoir” for Geraldo.

A shameful piece.

I thank Mrs Pirro because she could keep her smile and patience in front of this arrogant ... opinionist. This is not journalism, it is opinionism…

Does anyone know if another “show” is expected on TV?

Hi Patou, I watched and recorded the 5-minute segment with Jeanine Pirro and actually I though she was the big winner. Geraldo tried to shout her down but the points she did make were astonishing.

We may shoot to it up as a YouTube and we certainly can post some images. Here is an advance peek at our review not yet in final. More soon.

************

One of the very smartest lawyers in the US, Jeanine Pirro, maybe even the smartest, opened up like a battleship last night, on Geraldo on Fox, on the really great strength of the evidence.

This is Anne Bremner’s very worst nightmare. Jeanine is extremely well know to New York audiences (great location for all the talk shows) and is very much beloved here. She is very beautiful, whiplash fast, extremely funny and deadly beyond belief.

She was the very high profile District Attorney for Yonkers and she won case after case after case. She was running for NY Attorney General when her husband ran into tax problem and she withdrew. Now she is making millions as a judge daily on TV.

Where Jeanine is willing to go on the case, with Knox convicted, other very smart lawyers should follow.

Folks outside the US should not underestimate how hard it has been for anyone on TV to say that all the evidence points to guilt. Normally that is the role of the tv HOSTS here more than the guests!!

Keep watching Nancy Grace on CNN. I bet she becomes battleship #2.

Don’t know if this will work but onthe Daily Mail website they mention Knox’s lawyer himself even wants Hillary Clinton to stay out of it- I am happy to report most comments are in support of the guilty verdict, even if the stupid woman on BBC on friday night said most of Britain would be shocked at the verdict and that if Knox and co had been tried in UK or US she’d be free-RUBBISH!

To The Entire Kercher Family:

You do not know me, as you do not know most of the thousands, if not millions of people who have been following this tragic story. Even though I am an American, my heart and soul often wanders to London, and the amazing English Countryside, that I love so much… Who knows, It may have something to do with the early English blood that runs through me? Or it may have something to do with something much more current… Perhaps the reason why this hit me so hard was because of Meredith’s & Stephanie’s resemblance to my dearest friend’s two daughters who I’ve spent many hours strolling the Cotswolds with over the years

In any event, My thoughts are with all of you, I hope the healing process continues… I wish I could do something more to make it so - We all do… I have a feeling, from what I have read of Meredith most of all, she would wish this for each of you most powerfully…

An unknown friend, person, from far away…
