Twentieth Appeal Session: The TV Media Assembled At Front Entrance Of The Court Today

I thought the most significant thing said today was by Bongiorno during interviews ... saying the defense would never say that the first trial was not fair. That sounds as if she is eliminating acquital as an outcome.
Very interesting statement. She is defending the Italian legal process and acknowledging that the prosecutor was in fact, not framing the couple, don’t you think?
Is the appeal over now except for the verdict which will come tonight in fact? I don’t see anything new in the speeches other than “we didn’t do it, as we said before”. Is that it now? Why do the significant dates above state both October 3 and 4 for the appeal if it is over today?
Hi Believing. Yes the speeches did seem rather repetitive. Absolutely not what we expected. Perhaps better not to have made them than to complain that they are the victims. That wont impress the five women on the jury.
The October 3 and 4 dates were penciled in by the judge in case the summations spilled over. There were to make sure everybody would be available. But it looks like after the verdict tonight it will be over till the second appeal gets under way after the sentencing report comes out in early January 2012.
Just watched the Kerchers on BBC live giving responses to interviews to all tv stations including CNN, Fox News etc right now. As Mrs. Kercher just stated “that is not the only DNA evidence in the case’ in terms of the contested 2 pieces and that there was overall more evidence to consider.
All three incredibly composed - mother, sister and brother. Didn’t see the father, perhaps he couldn’t deal with it.
