Interim Prime Minister, Which Points to Renzi Back On Top Soon & Bad News For RS & Knox

Why is this maybe not the worst outcome for Meredith’s case?

Well Mr Renzi has had more than enough of fake news which perverted both this case and his referendum.

President Obama and the faction in the US State Department hornswoggled by the Knox PR will be gone by the end of January. A President Trump already ticked off by Knox’s ingratitude will be in charge.

And Rome politics suggests neither Mr Gentiloni nor Mr Renzi would want to place any further roadblocks in front of popular legal initiatives such as this.

Pete, what can we do to promote Trump-Action in favour of Justice for Meredith?

Perhaps he could be asked what information and from whom did he base his assumption that Knox had been ‘railroaded’.

Hi Cardiol.

As I see it the main action is just ahead of us - to tie together conclusively the immense work you and so many others have done here and on the Wiki to prove that this was a rock-solid case, and that from 2010 a tidal wave of fake news and wise guys took over.

Netflix has created an audience for this like no other. Jeez, thanks, Netflix. They have bet the house on this gamble, that the documentary was truthful and they could trash the victim and Italian justice worldwide with impunity and with major pluses to their cashflow and stock price.

Foundation of sand of course. The documentary was ludicrously sloppy. They will regret it.

Me, having spent a working lifetime trying to get major players in governments and the media all on one side of the fence, see that as more undoable than ever now.

Best to go right past them. I think the power play here would be to take the Netflix Hoax directly o the stock market, where Netflix stock is very volatile.

There are about 30 main media and internet analysts in the city here and they hunt all the time for good news and bad news. Many are bearish or shortsellers. They need only to get some press releases (we haver some, starting shortly) and they will run with it. Netflix will have its feet held to the fire very unenjoyably.

Trump has escalating problems already (see today’s editorlal page in the NY Times) and the last thing he would want, I presume, is to find himself foolishly chained to an ungrateful Knox and some wise guys.

I think we should maybe just not rub it in that he made a wrong call. That will only make him stubborn. When he did make that wrong call, back in 2009, his ex wife Ivana (mother of the 3 oldest Trump children) had moved to Italy and shacked up with an Italian.

They are reported to get on well now, but many think this is what back in 2009 really ticked him.

Donald aside, Ivana prefers young Italian men.

Ivana has been married four times, but her later two engagements were both to strapping young Italians. “I have this thing for Italians. I don’t know why, but the bad boys—not all of them, but the sort of semi-bad,” she told Oprah in 2013.

And while she and her most recent husband, Rossano Rubicondi [click link for picture] separated in 2008, they are still romantically linked. “With Rossano, we adore each other,” she said. “Who knows what will happen. God gave us the second chance, and we’ll see.”

Shades of AK who was also a pushover for Italian semi-bad boys (and Italian drugs) perhaps? Remind me. Was she there for any other purpose? Trump thought she was chaste as a flower of course.

Emails in from Italy worry a lot about the slow growth and the migrants and lack of a vision that looks any good.

Its a while since I worked there but once my new site is online I can take a break and head over there and see if I can explain how to get beyond.

The emails often thank the lucky stars that Italy has very good cops. No attack by absolutists yet.

Dear Pete,

You did and are doing a great work. Unfortunatelly, Gentiloni is just a “Renzi’ man” although with better manners. He is also a good friend with John Kerry and politically with Clinton.

And nobody in Italy wrote a petition against the 5th Chambers, yet. I don’t know if we can await anything positive from Trump.  I just hope that the press in US will change soon.

Oh by the way, Gentiloni is. not tied to mafia, he hates them. So we will see, primary after the current Banca di Paschi, huge problem.

I don’t know if we can await anything positive from Trump, full stop!

As much as I care about justice for Meredith and her family, I couldn’t dream of kissing up to Donald Trump, of all people, in hopes of obtaining it.  We are embarking on dark political times here. Can we keep things in perspective?

@mimi, you’re back! Yay. I miss the good artwork of early days PMF, your cartoons included.
