Italians Have For A Long Time Known How Depraved And Cruel The Final Struggle Was

Posted by Our Main Posters

An Exceptionally Vicious Attack

As you can see in the prosecutors’ scenario posted below, we did not translate and post quite everything.

Meredith’s final 15-minute death-struggle is not there.

Back in January of this year the Micheli Report described in great detail Meredith’s autopsy, the wounds on her body, and the horrific state of her room.

There were literally DOZENS of evidence points. And it is crystal-clear that there is no way in the world that the attack was carried out by a single person.

Those descriptions had some of our Italian translators crying when they read the passages, and several said they slept badly for days.

We decided not to post those passages, because they put out in the open things that had been described only in closed session.

Our translators had trouble translating around those passages, and our poster Brian S worked for weeks to get the tone and coverage of his series of posts just right.

What we did post were the only long excerpts of the report in the English-speaking world.

The UK and US mainstream media pretty well ignored the Micheli Report. The UK media published only brief, mild excerpts, and the US media published NONE AT ALL.

Even today, few American journalists seem to realize that the report even exists.

In very sharp contrast, long excerpts were published in Italy.

And after a while as required by Italian law the Ministry of Justice in Rome posted the entire Micheli Report on their website. Many thousands of Italian speakers have been to that website and read the report in full.

So there is not very much that Italian followers of the case dont know about Meredith’s final 15 minutes.

The timeline and the computer simulation that the prosecutors presented last Friday were put fully out in the open. The media were all there. And if there is a guilty verdict in this trial, the judges’ sentencing report must be out by early March.

This time around we will post the complete report.

If justice for Meredith is to be seen to be done, people need to read the entire thing.

Comments

Heartbreaking, truly. I did try for a time with my limited spanish and very limited italian to read Micheli’s report. Truly difficult reading.

It is so difficult for me to understand why the country I hail from screams “truth, justice and the American way” yet, they do nothing, allowing the course of justice to be perverted.

Yes, I believe “perverted” would be a better description. The FOA camp has continually perverted the course of justice for the Kerchers.

Perhaps they need to be given Micheli’s report in its entirety?

thank you, peter, for this post.  as difficult as it will be to read about the horrific last fifteen minutes of meredith’s life, in some ways it should set straight the involvement of AK and RS.  rather than keep it private out of respect for meredith and her family, if it was my daughter who had met such a tragic death, i would want everyone on this earth to know every sordid detail of her struggle to live.

In the evidence phase the depiction of the struggle - in which Meredith REALLY fought back - took a whole day (the final Saturday) in closed session. Even several of the jury were close to tears.

The defenses then tried some truly contemptible and utterly callous depictions with a dummy soon after. If that won them even a single juror that would be quite a surprise.

All it showed was that the perps brought with them two knives and not one, which was known anyway. It simply proved how planned the attack was, and how totally vile.

Way to go, defenses.

Last Friday the judges and jury watched the computer simulation. The defenses then requested that it not be accepted as a court document, so it wont ever become publicly available.

If the defendants are found guilty, perhaps just as well for them.  A somewhat smarter defense move.

Missing from this scenario above is the incredibly sad fact of Meredith’s time of death.

In Rudy’s appeal the other day the prosecutor there made it quite clear that Meredith could have been saved if Rudy had not bolted and cleaned up to go to the disco.

He stated that there might have been a long period of time - maybe even half an hour, to after midnight in this scenario above - when Guede could have called an ambulance.

In fact ANY of the three could have called an ambulance. But of course none of them did.

They took her cell phones instead.

Amanda Knox’s family were recently saying if she was involved wouldn’t she has left more biological evidence or have injuries from the struggle…

I can’t forget about the mark that was plainly visible on Amanda’s neck in photographs the day after and was described in one of the housemates’ testimony.

Surely that should be added to the huge weight of evidence against them.

The one-sided reporting of this case in the US makes me so angry. Balance has gone out the window with media using Amanda’s parents and FOA as the only sources. Meredith was the victim here, not Amanda.

(Long-time reader - thanks for all the hard work)

Thanks to all the people who have worked so hard to create this disturbing but vitally important website.  I’d like to extend my sincerest condolences to Meredith’s family and friends for your unimaginably tragic loss.  I have a question regarding the comment about the mark on Knox’s neck.  Perhaps the info is on this site and I missed it, but have any viable theories been floated regarding precisely what kind of action or implement might have created a mark like that?

Amanda Knox’s neck-wound is visible (scroll down) in HelloDalai’s post here. The image was shown in court in the evidence phase, and witnesses were interrogated on it. It did seem to have been caused on the night.

By the way our DNA poster has pointed out many times that DNA is hard to transfer except through body fluids. As AK was described as allegedly holding the big knife and taunting Meredith, she may have had little body contact. A bloody shoeprint in her size (shoes were never found) was on a pillow. And her DNA mixed with Meredith’s was found in five locations.

The defenses really undermined none of this evidence above. And the two DNA charts from the big knife were both crystal clear. Not one in a billion chances they were other than Meredith’s and Knox’s.

Its my first post on this site, and I’d like to ask anyone if they feel the same as me. In terms of the brutal incident in perugia 25 months ago, I have been left shocked and stunned. I often get quite down and depressed when I think about how Meredith dealt with her final moments. I myself have a daughter of a similar age to Meredith and can only shake my head in pure disbelief at the evil manifested that night. In this world of disturbing violence that we live in you would expect that we may become accustomed to the pain BUT this particular story has shook me to the core. I fantasise about being able to go back and intervene, to stop this from ever happening. alas this is my fantasy and can never happen. However this tragedy has moved me to change myself, How ? to be more Paitient, compassionate, loveing, peaceful, content with life. I watched the Kerchers on tv in awe. I felt they displayed honour, dignity in the face of dreadful circumstances. I now worry that AK,RS sentences will be reduced as per RG.Someone Please tell me this will not happen.

Derian, you summarized nicely.

I saw yesterday on Perugia Murder File website a suggestion that cocaine triggered the rage reactions of AK & RS. They may have wandered to Piazza Grimana and bought it from Rudy or his connection. Perhaps the drug dealer forced them to turn off their cell phones so deal couldn’t be traced. At last it hit me that their insane killing of Meredith wasn’t due to groggy marijuana or booze. It clarified an RS letter from jail where he promised his dad to NEVER do drugs again.

Check out PMF site for tons of info. Welcome!
