Bad News For Knox -  Buzz From Italy Is Spurious ECHR Appeal Will Probably Fail

Posted by Our Main Posters

[The European Court Of Human Rights in Strasbourg France]

One major misrepresentation out of the Knox campaign in recent months was that the ECHR had already agreed to entertain her appeal.

See here and here and here (wow) and here (wow!).

We have posted repeatedly that the ECHR had “accepted” nothing - a processing clerk had merely asked prosecution and defense for actual hard facts “acccidentally” omitted from defense lawyer Dalla Vedova’s submission documents.

Had Dalla Vedova acted ethically and truthfully, there would have been no need at all for this stage.

We explained especially that Knox’s team had never lodged a complaint with any Italian court as Italian law requires and so due process in Italy prior to involving the heavily burdened ECHR had not even begun.

And that pre-emptively the Italian Supreme Court itself had already forcefully ruled that Knox had no ECHR case.

All this was known to Knox and her lawyers and PR but they continued to lie to the world anyhow.

Now the buzz is that detailed Italian government submissions to the ECHR have killed all prospects for Knox’s fraudulent appeal.

The absence of any effective comeback to the ECHR from Knox lawyer Dalla Vedova is understandable - by not filing any complaint in Italy first on behalf of Knox he might have been breaking Italian law requiring such a complaint if deemed credible.

This is good news! I hope ECHR brushes Knox’s baseless claim away like a fly at the table. It’s great to hear that Stephen Morse will not grossly influence the Netflix documentary about Knox. She is in jeopardy every time the spotlight returns to her story.

Dalla Vedova accidentally leaving out hard facts from the documents he submitted.

He’s either incompetent, a liar or both.

He’s not acting any differently from how he performed during the case, it seems that when it comes to the murder of Meredith Kercher that the only way to even try to paint Knox in a good light is to cheat and lie - just like the awful woman who represented her partner in crime Sollecito.

It still amazes me to this day that they released the pair of them from prison.

Interesting article in today’s Telegraph…  re females who have murdered, and the necessity not to glamorise them, just because it is more unusual.

It was prompted by a recent and brutal murder motivated by jealousy or envy.

Dear Deathfish. They were released in order to avoid an international incident. Point being they couldn’t release one without the other. It was the racist American state Department. Just like the latest fake robbery claimed by the American swimmers in Rio. Already they are making all kinds of excuses and suggesting it did in fact happen and this in spite of the retraction by one of the so called victims( ie vandals) Same as with Knox.
I see that a very fat out of shape slime ball Steve Moore was on TV claiming the American swimmers were hard done by. I switched it off.

Posted by Grahame Rhodes on 08/19/16 at 07:15 AM | #

Why should they have wanted to release either one. There is a mountain of evidence condemning both.

Posted by JohnQ on 08/19/16 at 02:37 PM | #

@ JohnQ.

That is the question, and a question none of us here are comfortable with.

I respect Grahame’s opinion and read everything he posts with great interest and indeed concur with everything he says; but I cannot see how keeping the clear killer Amanda Knox in jail would cause an international incident.

The Americans and British have far more bigger fish to fry than this promiscuous druggie. She is what we say in the north of England a ‘no mark’.

Now we are further on in years with the case I find myself leaning more towards corruption in the Italian system unfortunately.

Perhaps they never had the stomach to stick to their guns and I fear the awful woman who represented Sollecito was more than implicit in everything regarding this subject.

How brazen to not turn up to witness but then dispute the forensic examination.

How outrageous (but obviously tactical) to keep having the trial postponed and only to be heard on certain days due to maternal issues.

It goes on and on and the more one looks at it, it is obviously - well, bent.

I do think now (maybe I am wrong) that the Sollecito family and their counsel (more than any other) have bent this case.

Sorry, mistake… my bad.

They did witness the DNA initially. They stalled the return to the sealed crime scene for 6 weeks then complained that the bra clasp was contaminated because it had laid at the crime scene for 6 weeks.

@ Deathfish   ...“I find myself leaning more towards corruption in the Italian system unfortunately.”

I do too.

The corruption seems to have been aimed at getting Sollecito off the hook. Knox seems to have been merely a secondary beneficiary, riding on the coat-tails of primary beneficiary Sollecito - unfortunately.

Posted by Cardiol MD on 08/19/16 at 05:10 PM | #

Indeed Cardiol MD.

Knox was and is nothing to them.

The horribly smug and spoilt brat Sollecito knew all along.  The hilarious unhinged wife of Steve Moore FBI loved him so much that she considered him family.

So funny to see her crash and burn when the realisation of forces obviously unknown to her dictated that it wasn’t about Amanda, their poster child, but about him.

I wonder if they are still in touch?  Has anyone heard lately of the other looney’s? Clemente? The cook? The furrier et al?  Do they do anniversaries at Vashon Island?

Hi Deathfish

Sorry but you have to understand the mind set of the American political system.

Case in point is the current brouhaha concerning Ryan Lochte and his claim of being robbed at gunpoint in Rio. Even though he admits that he lied there is a huge faction who maintains that if some Mexican policeman pointed a gun at him (which Lochte has denied happened) then many people here say that it was not his fault at all and the original claim by him amounted to not only robbery but kidnapping as well.

It’s true and here I quote a CNN lawyer who is supposed to represent Lochte in the first place.

This is the same with Knox and the US state department. They have to be seen as doing something in order to protect their American nationals from those nasty foreigners who (and as everyone knows) are just out to ensnare Americans for cash. I was told in no uncertain terms by Seattle FBI to back off from concerning Knox worry about her eventual conviction.

This I refused to do and will keep on posting on her blog and everywhere else that I can think of for as long as it takes. I am sure that I am ignored by now but that does not matter to me because for as long as it takes I will keep on. Let me be clear. If something really bad happened to Knox and Sollecito I would be very happy…

Let the bastards come after me if they so wish. They can’t stop me without a court order and they won’t go down that road because of the publicity it would generate.

Knox was sprung (Care of the Berlusconi Government) due to internal pressure for both Knox and Sollecito. The fact that they had plane waiting on the tarmac to whisk her away immediately after the trial is proof positive of this.

Finally.. In the middle of the US election plus everything else, let us not lose sight of why we are here.

Hi there Grahame Rhodes, well if that is the mindset of the American political system then god help us all.

I can see what you are saying but I can’t understand why.

For instance with Lochte - I haven’t seen much about the incident but why would an olympic athlete who at that moment in time was under the microscope, or to put it another way had all the world’s media bearing down like all fellow athletes, do such a thing?

More confusing is the people jumping up in his defence - as you say a “huge faction”.  Are we seeing a modern phenomenon here?

As in the Knox case we have people from really dreary and anonymous backgrounds that seem to try and make names for themselves due to blind advocacy for the accused despite overwhelming evidence that proves guilt.

If it is true that state department intervention got Knox released it is very worrying indeed. I cannot for the life of me see why they would stand up for a simple ‘drugged up tart’.

On the same footing, the lack of action (as far I know) from the British foreign office regarding fighting Meredith’s corner is equally as worrying.

@Grahame Rhodes, I too would be very happy “if something really bad happened to Knox and Sollecito.”  Your long-standing scepticism is well-founded, but wrt:

“Knox was sprung (Care of the Berlusconi Government) due to internal pressure for both Knox and Sollecito. The fact that they had plane waiting on the tarmac to whisk her away immediately after the trial is proof positive of this.”

I’m with Deathfish & question your “proof positive” conclusion.  The waiting plane is certainly a fact but not even proof of foreknowledge, let alone “proof positive.”

The waiting plane Is evidence of hope, and could involve foreknowledge of an upcoming window of opportunity, which they pre-emptively grasped.

Could such window be only temporary?  Why did Sollecito stand-pat?

Posted by Cardiol MD on 08/23/16 at 09:39 AM | #

Your skepticism is well founded and I agree that under normal circumstances and situations you would be correct.

However if you examine the events leading up to Knox being sprung there is a mountain of evidence the least of which is the fore knowledge by some of Knox family the week prior to her release that it was indeed the case. Check it for yourself.

The people who manipulate public perception bank upon the innocence of people who view the world through the eyes of innocence i,e of their own making.

Being naive allows people, such as those who believe in Knox innocence, a free reign to be taken advantage of. Such is the stock in trade of fairground barkers and people who sell used cars, or more to the point Donald Trump.

Posted by Grahame Rhodes on 08/23/16 at 03:57 PM | #

So be it, Grahame; I agree to differ.

Re your left-field reference to the Donald as an example of a fair-ground barker.

How about the point of view that a vote in the American Presidential Election is a vote for a mode of failure?

Can’t this year’s choice be reduced to one between continuation of the current mode of predictably-brazen Deceptions and a mode of unpredictable Change?

I shall not be surprised if the Donald wins.

If Trump wins then were all in the shit. It says a lot about the American education system. Sorry saying those two words in the same sentence is a contradiction in terms.

@Grahame….”....the American education system. Sorry saying those two words in the same sentence is a contradiction in terms.”

Gird your loins for Possible Merde, and remember that Hillary’s husband was a Rhodes Scholar.

OK try this then. Ask your average US student to find Russia on the map or better still their county line or even better to name the US vice president.

There is even the famous event when several US Navy flyers were asked to identify Russia? They pointed to Canada. This is a point of fact. Sure there are those who have higher education but given the overall US population the education system is abysmal. if you have trouble believing this then check the education quotient of other countries other than the US. I believe the US was listed as being about 20th or more on the scale of educational excellence, hence the rise of Donald Trump.

As to Hillary Clinton, there are so many who willingly, through shear laziness, believe what they are told rather than check the facts for themselves. This is the modus oporandi of the so called “Friends of Amanda” who will, and have, eaten shit since it was packaged well and then they asked for more. ie A direct correlation between education and intelligence.

Steven Hawking said that Donald Trump represented the “lowest common denominator” Hawking was taken to task over this because only a limited few in the US knew what he meant. As such he was told to speak in a language that people in the US could understand..      I rest my case.

Dear Grahame I ‘m in total agreement with your opinion of the US Educational-System.

Posted by Cardiol MD on 08/25/16 at 05:56 PM | #

Speaking of Bill Clinton and the Rhodes scholarship, that’s awarded on the basis of a number of criteria that don’t much include academic excellence. His SAT score was 1032 while that of his successor George W. Bush was 1206 (average is 1200 😊

System itself corrupt? I tend never to say that. Many or most systems start out good (as good as people can make them then) but then they get bent here and there and in general they run down and hold us all back.

Slowing growth (and the rise of the uneducated whites) is one direct result. When doing these trade deals (EC and NAFTA) letting in lower-cost partners the more developed areas should be made to JUMP.

Decaying systems allow the multiple corruptions we have pointed at and have never denied in this case.

Corruptions that mattered started in 2010 after the Massei trial though mini-corruptions did happen before then, as Deathfish said. The earliest biggie we posted on 6 months before trial was this:

http://truejustice.org/ee/index.php?/tjmk/comments/powerpoints_1_a_cbs_trashed_witness_in_fact_looks_very_credible/

Hellmann’s appointment was mostly Sollecito’s people. In muddying the DNA component of the Hellmann “trial” the Knox people had a hand (Hampikian’s). And the Fifth Chambers was got to by the Sollecito people and Knox people both (see next post below).

At the same time, the Sollecito people smartly kept a lower PR profile before and after Vanessa was sacked as they knew their phones were tapped. The noisy Knox PR mattered a lot less.

The State Department is a huge operation and at the top are several DOZEN political appointees waiting for some constituent to ask for their help.

http://theweek.com/speedreads/548111/state-department-higherups-are-mostly-political-appointees-not-foreign-service-experts

http://www.allgov.com/news/controversies/majority-of-senior-leadership-in-state-dept-are-now-political-appointees-instead-of-career-foreign-service-150406?news=856157

As a direct result, the State Department (along with many others) is becoming more and more amateur and incompetent and open to political pressure all the time.

Whether Hillary Clinton or John Kerry were in the loop directly we dont know, but definitely Heavey and Moore and John Douglas got their toes in the door at the level immediately below them.

Getting the Rome Ambassador (also a political appointee) to whisper in Italian ears that this case leading to extradition was just not “timely” would have been a slam dunk.

“Luckily” it was not “timely” for Prime Minister Renzi’s group as well. A slam dunk on both sides - though not without great risk, these machinations often do explode.

The waiting plane seems to have been totally a PR stunt.  But there was also real concern that the prosecution would file an immediate appeal after Hellmann sprung the two.

Thus resulting in RS’s and AK’s passports being removed.  Cardiol asks: Why did RS stand pat?

Well, if he did, that did not last for long.

Pretty soon he was off like a rabbit to the West Coast (with his family soon in tow) and spent two years trying to arrange a permanent stay.

He did this via applying for jobs (Chris Mellas took him to MicroSoft, ha ha ha)  and via trying to get married. Ergon did an amazing interview with one such target maid.

http://truejustice.org/ee/index.php?/tjmk/comments/interview_part_2_with_kelsey_kay_about_her_sad_experience/

The Knox people also took measures to try to head off any extradition to Italy - though we reckon that would have failed in the end as the law is pretty clear.

http://truejustice.org/ee/index.php?/tjmk/comments/did_the_state_department_really_offer_assurances_to_amanda_knox_1/

Frank Sforza also tried very hard to stay in the US, via the same means, and zoomed in on at least two women he thought he could con. Both got the upper hand on him.

Then he reverted to his usual habit of beating people up, was arrested, and skipped out on a Seattle court date. The judge issued a warrant for his arrest.

See the irony? He hoped to stay in the US permanently - now he will never be allowed back. SO MANY Knox-poisoned fools have taken a fall.

Regarding Trump it is generally thought around here that what drove his 14 million (hardly a lot) Republicans and crossovers to the primary polls was ECONOMIC not educational at core.

Here is Paul Krugman on exactly this point and how Trump seems to have forgotten about it today as he rants on instead about race.

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/08/26/opinion/no-donald-trump-america-isnt-a-hellhole.html?ref=opinion&_r=0

The US has some terrific education - some of the best in the world - but in the poorer regions education has been politicised and budgets cut to the bone.

I dont think education worldwide is meeting some key needs going forward.

Hi Ergon

Re the Bill Clinton low SAT score. I dont ever make too much of any one score. Bright people can get easily bored, and tortoises do win out.

By IQ at 149 Bill Clinton is among the top 5 brightest presidents which balances that out, and he had high scores at Yale and Georgetown - none of which made him avoid the Monica Lewinsky mess etc etc etc.
