Amanda Knox’s parents have still never encountered Meredith Kercher’s parents.

At the Rudy Guede trial last October Knox’s parents were in Perugia but they chose to stay away from the courthouse itself.

This week they are not even in Perugia. They are represented by an unnamed Knox relative (above) and a former Knox boyfriend (below).

Well, well, well, isn’t the bottom picture buzz-cut DJ, Knox’s former Seattle boyfriend, who has relentlessly injected himself into every discussion thread, reportedly under the names justsomeone, someonewhoknows, truthhurts, sammyklein, and maybe a half dozen others.

He’s an underling of Mellas in the FOA organization and the chief purveyor of the improbable possibilities defenses intended to confuse those who have only a cursory knowledge of the evidence. His last post was yesterday in the Seattle Times.

He also has developed a symbiotic relationship with daffy Dempsey offering “she wouldn’t hurt a fly” interviews. It seems like he is truly relishing staying as close to celebrity as possible and damn be the facts. He seems to be auditioning for the prayed-for celebrity talk, movie, book circuits with Knox, which is a huge incentive for many to hold their noses while proclaiming her innocence.

In his interviews DJ was an early attacker and smearer of the Italian system, and the prosecutor. He wasn’t kidding when he said some of Knox’s friends were going to the trial to support her.

Wonder if Knox’s former boyfriends will have a chance to do a little bonding over the next week or so in Perugia. The Seattle one,DJ, is probably relieved it didn’t happen on his last watch, yet is irresistibly drawn to the allure of his fifteen minutes.

Are the rumors true that Knox’s former boyfriend will testify: “You’re just jealous, it took seven or eight Italian guys to replace me”. Don’t see how that will help Knox.
