Sollecito Posting Of Knox’s Diary: Is He Again Prodding Knox Closer To The Fire To Help Himself?

Posted by Peter Quennell

Above and below: interiors of Capanne Prison built about a decade ago; Knox front-row right?

Another potshot in the escalating Knox/Sollecito wars?

In November 2007 in Capanne Prison Knox wrote prolifically in English in a diary.  Sollecito has now aggressively put it online together with the official Italian translation, as spotted by the sharp eyes of main poster Nell

The diary was taken by prison authorities, apparently with no protest by Knox as she was pre-warned that her cell would need to be searched. The English original and an Italian translation were entered into evidence at trial, though the diary played no overt role of which we are aware.

Defense forces helpfully offered it around perhaps in the hope that it would make the authorities not look so good.

The diary then became the core of a 2008 book Amanda And The Others by Fiorenza Sarzanini, a prominent Italian journalist on the staff of the major newspaper Corriere.

The book was not entirely unsympathetic to the real Knox. But Knox’s lawyers were seemingly concerned that her peculiar writings as riffed-upon by Sarzanini could subvert the preferred Knox image in court - though frankly that image was pretty daffy too.

The Knox team sued the holding company of Corriere. They won an award in the first round, then that was reversed on appeal, and then last year Cassation partially reversed that verdict, and Knox was granted an award.

Italian media reported all of this, but we didnt see any jubilant report in the US. Maybe because all Knox case-related income can be clawed back under US and Italian bloodmoney laws.

However, according to the Italian reports, Corriere’s legal fault was held not to be one of copyright or of the privacy of Knox. It was in publishing passages in which Knox negatively highlighted others, such as the list of those she had had sex with, a no-no under Italian privacy laws.

The Sarzanini book is still on sale in Italy, and there was no court ruling that it had to be withdrawn. The same passages Sollecito has put online are also in Italian in that book. There seems nothing in US or UK law that would forbid publishing of an English-language version if Fiorenza Sarzanini wants to do that.

Ironically Knox with her own 2013 book seems to have run afoul of the self-same laws in her serial defaming of officials, and in due course she stands to lose much more than she had gained from that small award.

Knox’s book was apparently put into Italian, though Italian and British editions were dropped at the last minute, days after Cassation ruled against Knox, in April last year. Oggi translated and published passages from the book which will see Oggi also taken to court.

Hard to believe but Knox’s bamboozled shadow writer Linda Kulman and HarperCollins New York were reported as scrambling to remove a lot of defamatory passages from the US version before Knox’s book went out.

We have posted several excerpts, which were pure fiction, and it is still the nasty work of a troubling psyche. Presumably that is Sollecito’s point.

Capanne looks light, spacious, clean..

When Knox and Sollecito moved in (on 6 November 2007) Capanne was less than half full.  Rooms have their own bathrooms and cooking area. Women get to see a hairdresser if they want to once a week.

Reports differ widely on how outgoing Knox was there but she had numerous visitors (family, US Embassy, even a member of parliament) who said she fared pretty okay, in contrast (so whats new) to her book.

Gosh, Capanne sounds better than some Care Homes here (for older people).
*    *
I had an interesting dream about the Two last night. They were in a house that was not their own, and they decided to start playing high jinks. It was incoherent to me, but they both thought it was ‘fun’. They seemed high as kites, laughing, giggling, being zany about anything and everything, and very speedy.  So much so that they didn’t seem to notice everything being made a mess in the house.

While they were off on a whim, I discovered some really crucial forensic evidence that proved what they had been doing - something to do with the clothes they were wearing, and why they’d chosen them, (and the history of where these clothes had been).

I very carefully extracted this evidence, fibres and so on, and notes from A’s own notes and diaries - with her plans and fantasies- and hid them carefully in a suitcase that was mine, that I would take out of the house with me.

They returned, early, high but fizzling out of energy. RS flopped down, still in a dream..and AK craftily and very quickly looked for exactly all the (incriminating) evidence and took it back again, so it was lost. All the time she was doing her charm act, but knew exactly what she was doing, but also pulling the wool over RS’s eyes, who seemed (in the dream) in a wishful thinking fog.

Just thought I’d share that, for what it’s worth!

Always interested to know what the Sollecito family will offer NEXT 😊

By now, it is no secret they’ve been leaking evidence files to us for a while in an effort to affect public perception and negate Amanda Knox’s chances of resisting extradition.

The funny thing is, I approached RS on social media more than a year ago when he was answering questions. He always was the weak link, and wanted to see what could be shaken out of him.

I’m known by my real name and @ManFromAtlan on Twitter/Facebook/Discus, so he didn’t realize who I was until the Annellas/Noels/Michelles all arrived screeching “don’t talk to Ergon”, LOL, as if they weren’t already talking to others.

Then when I was offered the latest round of documents I made it clear it wasn’t enough to interest me (no disrespect to those posting them, they are doing a <u>brilliant</u> job!)

Cristina Magnani even asked me at one point, “do you believe Raffaele’s innocent?” No, but if you want to say something substantive, Sollecito family, I’m all ears.

My suggestion would be, a full confession, express contrition, shift blame on to Amanda Knox. You’ll be out in 8 years, not when you’re an old man.

Raffaele Sollecito tortured Meredith Kercher with his pocket knife. The evidence is very clear on that, and I’m not interested in any thing that says AK acted alone, or he merely helped with the clean up.

Hi, Seeking, your dream looks like a *mapping* of reality onto some other plane, and it is entirely plausible.

I would say keep paying attention to your dreams, the less the intellect is involved in collecting info, the better, there will be enough time for processing in the waking state (I sound like The Gambler).

Dreams can sometimes guide us into otherwise inaccessible territory (how many of us found a solution to a tough problem in our sleep?).

I have the distinct feeling that these two idiots forgot something that will sink them fast, and it really doesn’t matter how unconventional for us the way of finding it is, but we will find it.

And, dreams may also induce a new way of thinking, or the courage to think differently, which is what we’re always attempting to do here.

Thank you for sharing, always a pleasure to come across an unusual angle.

Thank you very much Bjorn.

Yes, I agree about dreams opening up different ways of understanding things.  I have had important flashes of inspiration too, at times - such always come when least expected!

“I have the distinct feeling that these two idiots forgot something that will sink them fast, “... This did seem to be the message in the dream -that there really is something definite there - and the house was crowded with places to look.

Perhaps I should ask my dream-brain for another episode and return to this house!  You have encouraged me to pay attention to the minor details..so if any further, will report back…

SeekingUnderstanding,

I have often wondered if Sollecito was advised by his police woman sister, or his savvy father, to hide something away which would incriminate Knox.

Out of the two he is taking the stronger stance at the moment, steadily leaking tidbits, whilst Knox is very silent.  Her links to the drug dealers has’t been denied directly by Knox so I assume they are floundering.

If Sollecito is playing his cards weakest first it means he’s saving the best for last.  It should get very interesting over the next few months, especially after the sentences are ratified.

Hi MHILL4

Yes, that would concur with the spirit of the dream too: in the latter part of it AK was going around “I ‘ll sort everything; I’ll tidy everything; I know what to do, leave it to me etc”

RS however was not “with” her, but in a different room ( always significant in a dream) thinking his own thoughts.

It would seem that her unspoken policy was : ’ I’ ll arrange everything, - in exchange, you just need to do as I say, & give me an alibi’.

However, now her policy has unravelled, and has failed, RS no longer ‘owes’ her anything. I think he is slowly realizing this, (although it’s hard for us to see why it has taken so long). But there was some fear there. I believe it was psychologically important that he voluntarily attended the Florence court, even if he couldn’t do more at the time.

He is also at an important age where boys often start, properly, to become men and begin to take more responsibility than previously, in some way.

So indeed, how will things unfurl? He may even - once he has no allegiance left - think of that forgotten or hidden piece of incrimination, as you say, and produce it as his trump card. After all, she has humiliated him, surreptiously, and he won’t forget it, - we never do.

We can see a little of his resentment in his Florence speech, where he kept announcing he was Italian, and had an Italian soul (etc, etc!) and was not an American…like her.

Going back to the dream, there seemed to be activity on the balconies/patio - in and out of the house. Was any evidence found from these areas, does anyone know?

Hi MHILL4 and SeekingUnderstanding

If you read the chronology post (linked to in the first sentence in the post) you can see that the balance of power shifted to Knox 2012-2013. He wanted something (a life in the US) and she stiffed him on that.

I believe a major “flame accelerant” was Bongiorno realizing just recently (when RS was charged) what had been put into Sollecito’s book, written not in Italian in Italy but in English on the US west coast by the anti-Italy screech mob. No way would she want herself or RS chained to that stick of dynamite of a book especially as it could win him another prison term.

MHILL4 looks forward to a blockbuster reveal coming up. We’ve had hints of that. We shall see. All three (Guede too) are playing a precarious game. RS’s team is pretty mad and they will see Knox ferociously punished if RS ends up in a cell but not she. (The Republic of Italy has some ferocious weapons against her too.)

These wars are as revealing to us for what they skirt and avoid (so far) in the evidence pile as what gets to see daylight as the three fight on. See this example here.

Our poster Stilicho posted this comment in May last year under our own rebuttal of some of Knox’s claims published in Oggi which were linked to above:

Part of the issue with the broken alibi (Sollecito’s ‘pack of lies’) is his failure to release a true copy of his statements to the police.  I mean all of them, too, from the 2nd of November until his arrest [including 5-6 Nov].  He hasn’t done this but, instead, provided vague details of “mash-ups”.

Let’s see everything he signed!  Even the Groupiesâ„¢ are beginning to wonder why he’s so shy about releasing these statements.

Posted by Stilicho on 05/13/13 at 03:58 PM | #

First, that is relevant to our Interrogation Hoax series: in his own book Sollecito (or rather the FOA who were using him as a glove puppet back then) came out with an absurd attempt to portray Knox as abused on 5-6 Nov but didnt include those “missing” statements as proof.

But second, it is also a relevant step (or non-step) in these RS/AK wars: the reason for their no-show is presumably that they would take Sollecito down more than affect Knox either way. So Sollecito keeps them out of sight.

But so does Knox. They are in the evidence pile, and so she has access to them too. Again, no show.

Oh well. What none of them reveal we can of course. Though it seem polite to let them finish whacking one another first.

PS SeekingUnderstanding

Have you delved into the diary quotes? They do seem your cup of tea.

Hi Pete,
Yes, I’m am dipping into the diary now and then…when I can take it!
She continually reveals herself without realizing..as she says ‘I am a special case’...

Certainly polite to let their dynamic play out! The script isn’t finished yet.

That little thing that Sollecito may be packing away are the clothes that went missing. There has never been a good explanation regarding that.

My questions are concerning Knox and her current strategy. Why is she being so silent in the media? Why don’t we ever see photos of her? Is she"in hiding”? How much money would she be likely to have left? What will her strategy going forward when Italy confirms her guilty verdict and begins the extradition process (knock on wood)?

It’s truly odd how silent she is being now.

Hi devorah,
The nature of AK is more to talk a lot, and claim centre stage, often in quite a gushing way, and continually draw the attention back to herself.
She also tends to be disconnected, literally, and therefore strings together all sorts of unrelated facts - and also fictions - like an illustration for one of those unlikely string theories. She wants people to like her, urgently, and seems to talk on and on until she gets a sign of approval.

So..? Two possibilities present themselves to me :
1) she is ill. One could imagine in what way, but I’m not sure it would be fair to do so, however dreadful the crime she is accused of.
2) she has been told by authoritative lawyers to be quiet - in fact to break silence at her peril. Quite what they have in mind must also be speculative to a certain extent, but it might be damage limitation, as so much that she has initiated has made things worse (for example the ‘sono innocenti’ which was mercilessly satirised ); it could also be that it is hoped the silence might help people forget the damming evidence and contradictions ...in preparation for a renewed and final onslaught of PR come any extradition .

Perhaps someone else knows more? I’m on the other side of the pond…

Hi Devorah/Seeking Understanding,

I am not sure if Knox is ill, but it is quite apparent that her health isn’t top-notch, if hair loss and skin health (dry, scaly, and acne) are any indication. For somebody who is a devout follower of Yoga and meditation, as many say Knox is, it’s even worrisome. If exonerate_knox,  Annella, and/or Julie are indeed knox, than she is barely sleeping, further deteriorating her health.

But I Believe knox’s silence is mainly for not making the situation worse, and to see what card sollecito throws next.

Knox is her worse enemy as she can’t keep her mouth shut. The voluntary statements, emails, diaries, comments have done more harm to knox than anything else. She has tendency to say whatever fits at the moment without thinking of it’s future implication(s). In Italy she was on her own, there was nobody to stop her voluntarily spouting nonsense. Here, her family must be constantly reminding her to keep quite.

Another reason for her being silent is, it helps her to vanish.  I think when the final conviction of guilt is upheld, her planning would be to hide for good, either in South America or somewhere rural in the US. Creating fake identity isn’t much of a deal as many undocumented immigrants do it all the time. Silent person disappearing creates less of a buzz than somebody very active.

“Armchair detective reveals Jack the Ripper was a Polish immigrant” The Telegraph, 8 Sept.

“...Mr Edwards, 48, an author from Barnet, north London, was “captivated” by the murder mystery and had been investigating it in his spare time, but had concluded it could never be solved. Then, in 2007, he saw a shawl found by the body of Catherine Eddowes, one of the Ripper’s victims, was for sale.

He enlisted the help of a molecular biology expert, who used pioneering techniques to find DNA from her blood and that of the killer on the shawl. They compared the DNA with that of a living descendant of Kosminski’s sister…”

—————————-

Can we now expect Jack the Ripper’s descendants to call in Greg Hampikian so he can claim DNA contamination because the victim’s shawl had been left “lying around” for 126 years?

Perhaps now Knox will be banned from Paypal? Hopefully so, if enough people write to Paypal and complain. I think that we should all do that right now. Sign up to Paypal and report Amanda Knox here:

The official name of her Paypal account is the “Amanda Legal Defense Trust”.

If you don’t want to sign up for paypal you can also call them to report Knox’s violation of their terms of service at 1-888-221-1161 or at 1-402-935-2050 (if calling from outside the U.S.). Thank you.
