RIP Meredith’s Beloved Mum Who We Believe Knew Even US Mood Is Turning Pro AK & RS Guilt

Posted by Our Main Posters

Mrs Arline Kercher passed away unpublicised back in June, as just established by main poster James Raper.

Her grave is right beside Meredith’s. Father John was killed in a still-unsolved hit-and-run at night in Croydon four months before.

Arline began the Kercher-family connection with Italy when she did excavation work at Pompeii in her youth. That factoid is from John Kercher’s beautifully written book.

The video above reports the end of the failed Knox-Sollecito repeat first appeal in 2014, often wrongly referred to as a second trial.

That was the last concrete good news that Arline would have received.

She spoke out low-key but compellingly in protest after the corrupted 2011 and 2015 appeal verdicts were announced.

She knew to the end that Italian opinion was hard-line pro-guilt and that anger even in the UK and US is still gathering steam.

The next of a series of televised panels examining how the judicial process was corrupted and the outcome illegal will take place at Perugia University on October 8th.

RIP Meredith, John, and now Arline.

Thank you for great video of entire Kercher family seated together in 2014 in Italy at end of the first appeal. Arline seemed a woman of few words but such depth to them.

The Kerchers senior (John and Arline) although not young, seemed relatively strong in this 2014 video despite their grief. Now only six years later, both are dead. Meredith’s loss was a huge blow to their family, but fortunately for them Meredith gave them as much love and kindness in her two short decades of life as seven daughters might have, and they were blessed with the wonderful Stephanie as daughter, too.

Public sentiment was on the side of The Kerchers and grows moreso every year as the real truth about Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito is disseminated more widely.

Meredith remains the bright light in this somber story. Her family can remain immensely proud of their loving and caring daughter who had beauty, brains and wisdom and natural tenderness and gentleness unlike some “girls” her age.

Arline was born in Lahore, in what is now Pakistan, in November 1945.

That was just three years before the bloodbath (thanks to the post WW1 colonial Brits) that was the partition between mostly hindus in India and mostly moslems in Pakistan.

So which way did her family go? Unusually, they headed east, and Arline was raised in India - the reason being that she and her family were catholic as Paul Russell’s excellent book explained.

After she moved to the UK and married John, they lived on the south bank of the Thames and John commuted to Fleet Street a few blocks north.

Guy’s Hospital in Southwark is where the four children including Meredith were born. You can see an image of the original portion here.

Then the family moved south to Croydon and bought their own house. Paul Russell describes Meredith’s early days and Arline’s later days here.

Andrea Vogt and Barbie Nadeau both interviewed Arline and sprinkled her reactions in some of their reports. This was Arline’s first interview after the guilty verdict in 2009 and it is pretty moving stuff.

Just what you’d expect. AK quotes Julie Gunnigle on Twitter: “Let’s be real. Prosecutors work hand in hand with police and that results in a really cozy relationship.”

Knox’s latest “Crime Story” is an interview with Julie Gunnigle who is running for Maricopa County Attorney in Arizona. Gunnigle spouts the usual unrealistic ignorant and unfair attitudes toward lawabiding local citizens whom she’s not as interested in as she is the illegal aliens committing crimes against them. Knox doesn’t care about the term “illegal”, Nor does Gunnigle who is supposedly a lawyer sworn to uphold the law.

Even more laughable on Knox’s Twitter, “The Cardio Tesseract” she lauds a drug-addicted ex con who hopes to become the first formerly incarcerated state representative in Washington State, Tarra Simmons.

“In 2011 Simmons was sentenced to 20 months in prison for delivery of Oxycodone, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and unlawful possession of a firearm.”

“Simmons who at this time was working as a registered nurse, said she started using drugs following the death of her father in 2010. To support her habit she said she resorted to stealing and selling drugs.”

Yes, this former felon who loved drugs and theft is Knox’s cuppa tea.

Of course it’s wonderful that Ms. Simmons has earned a law degree and pulled herself up by her bootstraps and cleaned up her life from addiction, but do the criminal tendencies she resorted to in the past (despite the fact she had a very good job and a very good income as a registered nurse and job security in that field), do such tendencies to turn to drugs under pressure, to steal from her employer (no doubt the hospital where she worked), to collapse into drug addiction and theft to support it due in this case to the loss of her father which is sad but only natural and an expected change in life, do those tendencies and weaknesses she has already acted on, do they really advertise a strong character with mental discipline who will do her duties for the people of Washington State in public office with all of its myriad pressures? And with its political temptations in the future? I think not.

So is Simmons’ main claim to fame her felonies and follies as Knox’s is?  Knox truly identifies with the theft angle, the drugs angle, the reinvention of self after release from prison.

You go, girl. You couldn’t run your own life so now run the country.

Hi Hopeful

Thanks for more good reporting. On chummy prosecutors and police, Knox “forgets” her real situation in Italy - nothing to do with them being too chummy.

And on the Maricopa County Attorney election. The US is among a small and turbulent minority of countries that elect most prosecutors and police chiefs and many judges.

Heavey was an elected Superior Court judge, in a court south of Seattle, and he actually did not run for re-election because his blindly pro-Knox views and lack of professional expertise made him look too kinky and obsessive!

Italy is so incredibly lucky to have transitioned dramatically away from a fascist justice system and toward one that is now completely career-path.

It’s still my own #1 global model, and it looks like Meredith may have a real legacy in making it even better as her case ripples on and on with no letting up.

More on this and Dr Mignini’s own situation in our next post.

I was so sad to hear of Arline’s passing. I remember Arline giving the most adequate motivation I’ve heard for the murder, that they were jealous of Meredith because they couldn’t be like her. Something to that effect. It was certainly a terrible crime.

Now Arline is with Meredith again, which is comforting. I hope the best for the remaining Kercher family.

Yahoo headline today Sept. 29, 2020:  Amanda Knox lends support to NXIVM cult leader Keith Rainier by Taryn Ryder, Writer Yahoo Entertainment.

“Amanda Knox is demanding answers about NXIVM cult leader Keith Raniere’s 2019 conviction. Knox signed a petition questioning whether there was prosecutorial misconduct in the case, which led to Raniere being found guilty of sex trafficking among other crimes.”

Amanda Knox supports an initiative to hold the judges and prosecutors accountable: whether the government tampered with evidence, suborned perjury, threatened witnesses and more.

Knox confirmed she signed the petition when the newspaper “Albany Times Union” asked her if she signed it. She told the Times Union that she did sign it, but that she didn’t know enough about Mr. Raniere’s case to make judgments but his supporters had asked her to sign.  She signed because she thought it was principles of conduct “that any prosecutor should be able to affirm….I signed because violation of these practices would constitute prosecutorial misconduct regardless of Mr. Raniere’s guilt or innocence.”

What a gal Knox is! Here is the group that she signed that petition about, as described today in the NYTimes:

“When Clare Bronfman discovered a self-help group called Nxivm in 2003, she was struggling with social anxiety, unable to accept her identity as the daughter of a famous billionaire. Nxivm gave her a sense of purpose, she wrote in court papers.

In the course of the next 15 years, she became part of the group’s executive board, even as Nxivm faced mounting criticism that it was an abusive cult that coerced women into sexual slavery. Tapping her fortune, Ms. Bronfman unleashed an army of lawyers and investigators to intimidate Nxivm’s critics.

On Wednesday, a federal judge sentenced Ms. Bronfman, 41, to six years and nine months in prison for her role in Nxivm.

Ms. Bronfman was the first defendant to be sentenced in the Nxivm investigation, which has shattered the sunny facade of an organization that purported to help people achieve their personal goals through “executive success” workshops. Its leader, Keith Raniere, was convicted at trial in June 2019 of racketeering, sex trafficking, fraud and other crimes.”

The victims of Raniere and Bronfman spoke eloquently in court about their trauma. Maybe Knox should’ve been there to listen:

“In an emotional hearing on Wednesday, nine victims of Nxivm spoke about how their lives had been destroyed by Ms. Bronfman. Some of them said Ms. Bronfman sued them relentlessly for years after they left Nxivm and even persuaded local prosecutors to initiate criminal charges against them.”

An appropriate rebuttal by NXIVM’s victims attorney, Neil Glazer:

Attorney Neil Glazer, who represented the NXIVM victims that Raniere allegedly blackmailed into performing sexual acts with him, called the petion “absurd” in a statement to the newspaper.
“It’s absurd in so many ways that I don’t know where to begin,” said Mr Glazer. “I’ve never seen anything like this bizarre document in all my years of legal practice.”
“This is nothing more than a publicity stunt, orchestrated by Raniere to throw up smoke and mirrors and to peddle conspiracy theories to keep his remaining disciples in the fold,” he added.
