Denial Of Parole For Rudy Guede Could Be Yet More Bad News For Knox And Sollecito

Posted by Peter Quennell

Above and below: Mammagialla prison at Virterbo north of Rome where Guede is

Rudy Guede has been in prison at Viterbo for seven years less only several weeks now.

Despite his claims via closed-circuit TV that he has had an exemplary record and has nearly finished a college degree, the Italian parole oversight board in Rome has just declined his work release application.

Rudy Guede has been treated fairly, and does seem to have behaved himself, and there is zero evidence he was on a crime wave or dealt drugs or acted as a snitch for the Perugia police.

Despite that, he has never been given any breaks in the past seven years except as described here by the current system.

That post in fact reflects the view of a number of pro-victim Italian judges and prosecutors who personally incline toward the UK and US practice of plea bargaining under which the accused puts realistic evidence on the table and rolls over on accomplices and shows real remorse, in return for which lesser charges are arrived at.

The grounds for refusing work-release parole were not published, but if this is a way of pressuring Guede into further pressuring Knox and Sollecito? Go for it.

Pete, the Italian Legal System SHOULD persuade Guede to describe what the threesome did to Meredith.

Hi, Cardiol, yep, that’s exactly what the Italian legal system is persuading this scumbag to do, by keeping him locked up unless.

Up till now, he only provided pretty much useless, easily-refutable information, with close to zero legal value.

He’s a natural born liar, a murderer, and a serial defecator.

Time to boycott the West Seattle Herald:

The West Seattle Herald’s web editor, Patrick Robinson, said Knox was approached by the paper “to give her the opportunity of a normal life”.

Let’s just hope Mr. Robinson would show the same kind of sportsmanship and kindness to the person who murders his loved ones (if it sounds cruel & cynical, well, it is, this guy does not deserve better).

Plea bargaining in the US and UK is of course huge - over 90 percent of cases in the US involve some sort of bargain.

But they are promoted by prosecutors who for the most part face elections, and they have led to some unfair sentences and wrong convictions. There is little court oversight, and many who are innocent end up in prison.

http://touch.latimes.com/#section/-1/article/p2p-81873489/

In Italy as Popper has pointed out it is illegal for prosecutors to offer such deals. Guess what? That makes prosecutors pretty happy. They dont want to wake up with a horse’s head in their bed.

But the supervising magistrates have more latitude. They try to zero in on whats best as the pre-trial process oves forward..

We have posted the transcripts of Knox’s sessions with Judge Matteini on 8 November 2007 and with Dr Mignini on 17 December 2007 who then of course sent his transcript to Judge Matteini - who remained hardline through 2008 in absence of any defense softline.

Knox might have gone the few steps further with Judge Matteini than she had brought herself to do in November and December, and pleaded she was under the influence of drugs and (as we believe) has a mental condition requiring medication.

But she was probably too arrogant and certainly she was being too heavily leaned on by her family, who encouraged her to dig in her heels. What good is THAT doing her now?

I was watching a TV show called “The Transporter” (based on the 2002 Luc Besson written movie) today. In it, a violent criminal who killed an Italian judge is being held in Capanne prison, LOL, which even there doesn’t seem to be the medieval hellhole depicted by the ECtHR fetishists in the Knox camp. It was built in 2005, but the point made here http://www.ibtimes.com/amanda-knox-her-life-italian-prison-320185 is that Raffeale Sollecito and Rudy Guede had it worse:

“The other two people convicted in the case are housed in harsher institutions. Knox’s former boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito was moved from Capanne to Terni prison near Rome, which is for violent offenders.

Rudy Guede, the Ivory Coast-born born man who was sentenced to 16 years for his involvement in the murder, is in Viterbo jail, which is also for serious criminals. Guede has been reportedly beaten up and attacked by other prisoners during recreation periods.”

For any American program to suggest that any Italian prison is a hellhole is quite a joke. All the prisons have large cells, most with bathrooms, and many have facilities for cooking. Many or all have TV.

Terni is the most modern prison in Italy with solar power etc, and Sollecito preferred it because it was set up for authorized prisoners to use computers. He was kept there in 2008 and was not happy at having to go back to Capanne for trial.

Guede is in the sex offenders wing of Viterbo which is said to be a quiet and comfortable-enough place. He was attacked, but only the once, and could have pressed charges, but didnt.

Capanne was less than half full when all three were kept there during trial but three or four years ago a number of prisoners was transferred there.

All the prisons have a lot of facilities for prisoners to learn a trade or do a degree. Capanne has a large vegetable farm right outside the walls. Some online images show Bernardina di Mario the warden with prisoners learning farm work there.

The main hardship seems to be a lack of air conditioning which can be tough in mid-summer but there is not much air conditioning in Italy in general and power is not cheap.

This “cub reporter” thing makes me seethe. I try to ignore it but it keeps coming back and back and back…

Hi, Wascana, I totally understand you, my blood also boils when I think about it.

On the other hand, there’s a bright side to this: when the coppers come to pick her up, she will be at her desk (or close by), not in a balloon over the Pacific with her brave co-pilot Steve Moore trying to reach Thailand (she might make a dash for it at the last minute, but that will be fun to watch on Seattle local TV stations).

The articles she will write will have nothing to do with art: they will be the same deranged drivel as always, irresponsibly throwing in words like innocence, knife, prison, victim, scream, sex, foxy, music, and above all, justice.

The felonette has her own agenda which she will promote ruthlessly in the outlet provided by this moron—Robinson, on the other hand, is gambling his sorry career and possibly his future by aiding and abetting a murderer.

And finally, the stupid West Seattle rag or whatever it is, has a “Police Blotter” section, this week’s scoop is on shoplifting, neighborly disputes, burglaries & car thefts—with a murderer on staff, maybe they will graduate to fish-throwing accidents next month.

Hi Bjorn, ha ha, thanks for the good laugh, especially about “her brave co-pilot Steve Moore”—I feel better now, thank you. I know it’s just a little more time…

I notice on IIP that Bruce Fischer is trying very hard to deflect from his forum member Annella and on to Frank Sfarzo, LOL. Yes, Frank Sfarzo published some low res autopsy photos on his blog Perugia Shock. But an anonymous person has published a previously unseen high resolution autopsy photo of Meredith Kercher on the Skeptics Forum and our concern is that person will release more.

If he wants to deflect from his own group calling on him to release the autopsy photos he got from the defense, that’s his prerogative.

But, unlike him, screenshots do not lie.

CaliDeeva of the Justice4All forum which has been a strong supporter of Meredith Kercher was hacked recently by Amanda Knox supporters who then lacked the brains to get caught gloating on Twitter and Bruce Fischer’s site. http://justice4ever.com/2014/11/10/hackers-begone-welcome-sitelock/#comments

Perugia Murder File Net also experienced some difficulties but we were able to contain it.

Here, is my INVESTIGATION INTO HACKING about the mentality behind this: http://www.perugiamurderfile.net/viewtopic.php?p=123918#p123918

As I sometimes do I went to the Seattle on line news which reported that Knox had been hired as a cub reporter. Glad to report that the negative comments outweighed the usual support drivel by the usual trio of miscreants namely Fredly, jrppp, (or somesuch) Hinkerman. That’s all really, The comments are in some cases from 3 to 4 months ago and have jusr been pasted again. Obviously these idiots have nothinbg else but to beat the innocent drum using the same old tired screams to try to indoctrinated the none thinkers like themselves. There has even been a suggestion that it’s Knox herself who postes under another name. Not that I care, guilty is guilty after all.
