Thanks Pete for posting the snaps .... It seems that everyone who should be in Florence is there, except for the Perps.

So true Kermit!  It’s their appeal, but they are nowhere to be seen.

Bravo! - amazing job done on those summary pages.  It’s astounding.  The details and information are all there in an easy to read and organized format.  Some details are truly horrifying to read again.  May justice be served.

Musings on Aviello. He fell in love with Raffaele in prison. I wonder if he thought that Raf’s father who is a medical doctor, a urologist, might recommend him to the proper surgeons for Aviello’s desired sex-change operation? I also wonder if Aviello knew much about Raffaele other than seeing him as a healthy wealthy young guy. After he got out of prison Raffaele went on to Verona University to take courses in robotics, as in robotic surgery? Maybe he dropped that hobby, he then went on to Switzerland the land of a thousand medical and psych clinics and hidden bank accounts, but there he wanted to focus on media stories of the wrongly accused and start a business. None of this seems to mesh with what he did at Perugia University. Didn’t he graduate from Perugia Uni while he was behind bars and his professors visited him for the final questions. His father was quite impressed with Raf’s presentation and went to the prison grad ceremony, I believe he gifted Raf with a flowering plant that had special significance to their family. IIRC Raf’s specialty at Perugia U was genetics calculated by computer models? Someone please correct me, and tell me where Raf is going with these varied studies.

ps   Aviello is the proud owner of a fancy handkerchief that Raffaele gave him after Aviello’s last testimony.

@SeekingUnderstanding, I agree that some hidden rage probably erupted from Knox and Raffaele at the time of the struggle with Meredith. Mysterious buried unfinished business in many people’s emotions is like a powderkeg waiting for a match. I experienced a nana-episode of that a few years ago which really surprised me, “where did that come from?” I had to catch myself.

That same sort of repressed thing may explain the current crusade of Steve Moore and Judge Heavey. Their jobs required them to punish a lot of people for a long time so now they are reacting in the opposite way, seeing the perp’s view and wanting to defend the perp to compensate for punishing people in spite of the fact Moore’s arrests or Heavey’s judicial sentences were mandated by the State and were rightfully their job and the right thing to do as FBI agent or elected judge. Get over it already.

It shows how big a toll it takes on people, the unpleasant administration of justice.

That’s why respect is due to Mignini, Nencini, Crini, and the prosecuting attorneys. Punishing people is not easy if one is conscious of one’s own guilt and imperfection. Sensitive and highstrung people are easy to get burnout, which is why the job has to be shared. No one should be on the firing squad alone.

Maybe Moore and Heavey felt alone and are reacting to Amanda’s mantra about “even when I’m alone I’m not alone” she wrote in Capanne.

Moore and Heavey seem like latter day Lone Rangers, an echo of the ringtone in Judge Nencini’s courtroom which was out of order just like Mrs. Moore’s loud shouting in Perugia. Piers Morgan show their next stop. So strange how Heavey’s and Moore’s passionate belief in two suspected killers is at odds with all their lifework. We’ve got Heavey interfering trying to influence a judge, Moore condemning law enforcement and judges while both feel holier than thou to their peers, now that they are safely removed to retirement. They seem about as whacked out as Amanda. Fox and sour grapes.

Earth to Moore: return to the zoo

@Grahame Rhodes, you said the U.S. media has the attention span of an insect. It’s true, your comment stuck with me. It puts this case and headline news in perspective. How fleeting the story, yet how long and torturous for those involved like the Kerchers. They don’t deserve the extended suffering, while Amanda and Raffaele do.
